Heat I agree with, remember when it came out (yep old man Doc) it was the first time De Niro and Pacino had appeared on screen, such a let down for me. Unfortunately they did it again in Righteous Kill  Hopefully The Irishman delivers.

Isn't Irishman a Scorsese film? That should deliver, although it'll have the hype to overcome.

Tom Hanks is the GOAT, and the 90s was peak Tom Hanks, so I'd say the 90's as well. (also helped by that being a nostalgic decade for someone my age)

Not gonna be popular but not really a fan of Tom Hanks.

I must be the only person of my age group to have never seen Forest Gump :eeek

I enjoyed Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile though.

And tbh Road to Perdition was excellent and so was he.

No issues with that, mate. Matter of taste.

TBH, I prefer his... I guess we can call it lighter(?) work. That Thing You Do is probably my favorite film of all time.

Gibson's What Women Want is far superior.

Agree about Heat, not sure what decade they belong in but, And Justice For All and Sea of Love are two of my favourite Pacino films.

Manhunter is superb, and better than Silence Of The Lambs imo. Yes it looks like an episode of Miami Vice (I think it was done by the same person iirc); however the analysis and hunt for the killer far exceeds the latter film. Its the best serial killer hunt movie of them all.

He's good, but he's no Jimmy Stewart, who he is often compared to.

Na Bachelor Party and The Money Pit ftw!

Oof, don't get me started thinking about all that; I'd be a month doing my list there, though 2001 would be my 60's choice since its my favourite film anyway. Great picks btw.

I can see that, it is the more entertaining film. Used to watch it loads on VHS back in the day, along with Escape From New York and The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

30's - Angels with Dirty Faces (had to add the 30s to get one of my alltime favourite movies in ;) )

40's - White Heat (Cagney again, loved his old Gangster movies, he was class)

    50's - 12 Angry Men

60's - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

    70's - The Godfather

80's - Once Upon a Time in America

    90's - Aliens

00's - TBA - Will come back and add one

Hate doing these lists as I'm so indecisive and will forever change my mind.
