I don't disagree, I think inter was the absolute best you'll ever see from Lukaku and while they are a good team they weren't up their with the best teams in the world, just as Lukaku even at his best isn't at the same level as Benzema, Lewandowski, Kane, Mbappe who don't have glaring weaknesses in their game. But all those things were obvious from his time at Man Utd where he dealt with the same exact issues as Chelsea, when he's expected to hold up play or play in combination with runners around him he's not that good, he's still a decent goalscorer but that's it.
Would I? Why? Possibly because I've seen every minute he's ever played in a United shirt, and I know how much of a liability he's been. Possibly because I know he's never been a team player as long as he's been at the club. Possibly because he's an arrogant, self promoting waster who is all front and no end product. Or possibly all three.
All that is true, but despite all that he's still been your most consistent performer during the time he was at Man Utd.
It's still Pogba for me. In the right system Lukaku would bang goals he has proven it, Whereas Pogba had a couple of good seasons at Juve and got carried by Kante for France but ultimately never actually applied any effort to getting the most out of his talent.
Someone's probably already mentioned it but it's more down to Pogba not being arsed and couldn't be arsed either. Thing with Lukaku that I noticed at United was he tried proving critics wrong instead of just continuing his great start. It seems like he's trying to do the same at Chelsea by not focusing on his game. The amount of creative players in that Chelsea team is ample enough to provide opportunities but something obviously has gone wrong.

Unrelated to this question but quite related to Pogba I just found out that he has the most Assists/90 min in the Prem this season at 0.6 Maybe not such a flop...
Pogba : World Class for France but not Premier League class , there's a big difference with the pace of the game over here ( ask Juan Veron ) . He showed glimpses of class but I'd be f*cking annoyed if I was a team mate with the way he struts around a pitch like a show pony . Lukaku : Was superb for Everton when he had something to prove to the world but failed for Chelsea twice & at Man U no doubting his International quality for Belgium . I think certain styles / teams make footballers & it's just not worked out in England for these two .
