I can’t stand Derby and if they’ve done wrong they should be punished. But the fact that it’s Middlesbrough who are launching the challenge is a joke.

Not anyone else’s fault that they spunked £7m on Ashley Fletcher

Wish they'd just accept they ****ed it last season like we did and moved on.

    So silly and pointless.

What are the sueing them for? The revenue of the two semi finals?

They clearly didn't back themselves to go up considering they sacked their manager.

It will come as a shock to most but I’m a simple man who can’t understand how a club who owns a ground can sell it to themselves?

the 1 and only mighty boro

We had that sum of money to spend because we went up and had parachute payments, derby haven't been up for ages now. Aka any money we spent we were still within FFP

Their owner is reportedly trying to sell the club for 60 million. Well the ground alone is apparently worth more than the club, because derby sold their ground to the owner for 80 million.

So nothing about that is dodgy ?

It's hilarious people act all moral and sanctimonious about bury and bolton, but have no objection to clubs breaking the rules that have been put in place to actually stop clubs from getting themselves into that situation.

They're selling it to the owner, so the club won't own the ground any more but the owner will own it as a completely separate entity to the club.

They’re moving the ownership from the football club company to a third party company also owned by the owner. The football club is the only entity that is assessed for FFP purposes.

Yes but it means that if he sells the football club he will still own the football ground (unless of course any prospective buyer buys both entities from him)

I'm more than happy for Boro to kick up a shit storm, it's an uneven playing field so the more clubs getting fined, docked points and put under embargo the better.

I don't know the ins and outs of that particular situation but was it something along the lines of Noades sells club but not ground to Jordan. Noades then agrees deal to rent the ground to Jordan but does so at an extortionate cost?

It's a popular trait of chairmen it would seem and it probably happens a lot more than people realise, especially in the lower leagues where the actual land the ground sits on is the highest value thing a club may own

Took us years to get back Selhurst Park and then there's clubs giving away their stadiums.
