It was in the Munich paper TZ, probably turn out to be nothing.
I wouldn't read too much into it. He's a good player but would be more enticed by the Premiership than the Bundesliga. Not a Bayern type of player if that makes any sense.
WTF Augsburg? Where did that come from?
They've already shown last week in Frankfurt that there is a change in mentality after the sacking of coach Manuel Baum. Winning there 3-1 was already a statement as was today's 6-0, although against a piss poor Stuttgart side. And that could even be double digits if not Ron Zieler in goal had made some fantastic saves.
Expect Stuttgart Coach Markus Weinzierl (former Augsburg coach) to be sacked tomorrow, at least Sporting Director Thomas Hitzlsperger gave no job guarantee anymore (unlike some other interviews from him before)
In Buli 2 we couldn't win again, 1-1 against Aue, that's not enough. At least Aaron Hunt was back in the last 15 minutes (and nearly made the 2-1 with another fantastic freekick but it hit the goalpost in the 85th minute). Union Berlin couldn't win either but Paderborn did (in Kiel) so they're only 2 points behind HSV now at #3.
Next weekend there's a really crucial match for us (ok, every match is now crucial ). In Berlin at the "Alte Försterei" against "Eisern Union". Hope we'll be iron and (a) union, too
It came from them playing at their usual level just like Stuttgart. For too long, Augsburg had been playing below their perfectly good standards. Stuttgart are a Buli Zwei side. Simple as. They have no business playing in the top division with that squad. This result doesn't surprise me one bit.
Another win for Paderborn who are now only 2 pts behind HSV. Would be pretty funny to see them pipe Hamburg to 2nd spot. (Saying this, Hamburg would destroy Stuttgart in the play-off.)
Paderborn host Hamburg in the penultimate game, just sayin'.
yes, "pretty" funny.
Bollocks. We destroy nobody (unless you count a 1-0 win as destroying the opponent). When was the last time that a Bundesliga 2 side won the relegation playoffs? 2011, 8 years ago.
We won there recently in the Cup Quarterfinals, just sayin'
btw: This tuesday and wednesday, Cup semi finals! First we have to play Leipzig, and Wednesday Werder vs Bayern.
Borussia 3-0 ahead in Freiburg with 5 minutes to play.
edit: 4-0 win
But Stuttgart are rubbish. I think I covered that!
yes, you did and I wrote that we won't destroy them, no matter how rubbish they are at the moment. HSV was also rubbish the last years in Bundesliga 1 and especially in both relegation playoffs in 2014 and 2015 and we got through although we were the worse team in both.
Since this format was re-introduced in 2009 it's 8-2 in favour of the Bundesliga1 teams. Only in the 1st encounter, in 2009, Nürnberg won that convincingly 5-0 overall (2-0/3-0) for a Bundesliga 2 team.
btw: I was wrong with 2011, the last time a Bundesliga 2 team (Fortuna Düsseldorf) beat the Bundesliga team was in 2012.
So I really hope we avoid #3 spot and still hold #2 and direct promotion. On the other side, if it really comes to that and we'll be in a relegation playoff ....and lose this, it's not the end of the world for me. Tbh I enjoyed this season in Bundesliga 2 (although sometimes the really bad home performances really got on my nerves but anyway). Had a great derby against St.Pauli at the Millerntor, somethingI wouldn't have otherwise in my lifetime again, because there's no way that the "Pirates" are coming up again
Lovely game this evening between HSV and Leipzig. RB scored early and it looked like a walk in the park but Jatta equalised from an outrageous lob, really good goal. HSV even could have taken the lead before half-time but it stayed 1-1. Sadly, the second half was all Leipzig with an og and Forsberg putting the game to bed 1-3.
Let's all support Bremen for tomorrow's other semi as they host Bayern!
yes, could've been over after 15 minutes but thanks to the slapstick of Sabitzer we were still only 0-1 down. Van Drongelen was so nervous in the first 20 minutes that I feared the worst
tbh this guy often drives me crazy. He's fast, yes, but so uncoordinated that you sometimes have to fear that he falls over his own legs. But his goal was class.
yes, we had a few chances then and the first half was a really good cup match. But sadly in the 2nd half we couldn't get into the game anymore and it showed why Leipzig is unbeaten for 14 matches and won the last 8 away games.
Support Werder? Sorry, can't do it.
Class from Müller !
You've just scored.
F##k me you go for a piss and they score twice !
Bremen - Bayern 2-3.
Augsburg actually 1-3 behind against Leverkusen, 15 minutes to play. Kai Havertz again with a great goal, already his 14th this season.
edit: 1-4 Julian Brandt!
Köln lost again, after the 0-3 at Dresden now 1-2 at home against Darmstadt (jumped from #12 to #9 atm). This put our 2-3 last minute home loss against Darmstadt a few weeks ago into perspective. Seems that both relegated Bundesliga clubs have a bad run actually. Although Köln's edge is still 6 points to HSV but we could close the gap to 3 on Sunday.
We "only" have to win against #4 Union Berlin
Schalke 3-1 up, Reus sent off, Dortmund f##ked
Brilliant, the next Dortmunder is sent off, Marius Wolf. Your title dream is over BVB, now f##k off !
That's that then.
