This could be the season in which Dortmund have a real crack at the title, made some very intelligent signings so far.

Give it to Bayern already and have the other teams play for the top 4 spots . Do the same with Juventus and PSG.

every post from zippy in the Bundesliga thread gives me a migraine ;)

btw: Thanks for making the new one. I was too lazy this time. Thought it would be ok if we use the old one (we nearly had as much posts in one season as the Serie A thread who exists since 2012). But now as we have another one for the new season, let's use it.

@Andy-gers1 . Andy, same question as every new season: Could you please sticky this thread? TA

btw: It says "Bundesliga" so here's also the 1st matchday of Bundesliga 2 (in normal colour)

    1. Spieltag
    26. Juli 2019
    VfB Stuttgart - Hannover 96 (20.30 Uhr)

    27. Juli 2019
SG Dynamo Dresden - 1. FC Nürnberg (13.00 Uhr)
Holstein Kiel - SV Sandhausen (15.30 Uhr)
    VfL Osnabrück - 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 (15.30 Uhr)

    28. Juli 2019

Hamburger SV - SV Darmstadt 98 (13.30 Uhr)
SSV Jahn Regensburg - VfL Bochum 1848 (15.30 Uhr)
SpVgg Greuther Fürth - FC Erzgebirge Aue (15.30 Uhr)
SV Wehen Wiesbaden - Karlsruher SC (15.30 Uhr)

    29. Juli 2019
DSC Arminia Bielefeld - FC St. Pauli (20.30 Uhr)

btw: Hamburg Derby already at the 6th matchday, Sept 16th. First match at the Millerntor. Bad news for me: It's on a Monday evening. FFS :smackhead

And Munich still need to sign decent creative players. Still reckon they'll win the league but won't be easy with Robbery gone and Lewa not getting any younger.

Something we should be aware of? You work Monday nights perhaps? (Honest question.)

Who do you think is the best player in Bundesliga? I'd say Lewandowski.

I hope Union Berlin have a good season, they seem a decent club.

Do they look well prepared for their first Bundesliga season?

Will be stressful for me to get to the Millerntor right in time on a Monday evening. But that's not the main reason. I'm a traditionalist and I don't like Mondays (matches), like most german football fans.
I've just arranged myself with the early sunday kick-offs in Bundesliga 2, though, but I doubt that I'll ever like Monday matches.

Me, too, Adz. At last we have again another club from Berlin in the Bundesliga . They have a very active fanbase and will be a gain for the Bundesliga. I always like it when new clubs are coming to the Bundesliga 1 for the first time.

Like every new promoted club. They've made some transfers this summer, nothing spectacular but some known "Bundesliga faces" like Neven Subotic (former Dortmund player, comes from french club St.Etienne) or Anthony Ujah from Mainz 05 (not the best striker but hey, let's see ) and players from the belgian and dutch league. If that's enough to hold the league? I don't know but I hope it.

Subotić isn’t quite the player he used to be. Injuries have certainly taken their toll.

Only 6 days until the 3.Liga starts (not a "Bundes-" but a "Liga" ). Can't wait. I hope that Eintracht will play a better first half than last season (2nd half was way better, though)

Here's the complete 1st matchday. Starts on Friday with 1860 at home against Münster (founder member of the Bundesliga) . Bayern versus Preußen or Bazis versus Saupreißn :D

    Friday,19.07.
TSV 1860 München - SC Preußen Münster
    Saturday 20.07
Würzburger Kickers - FC Bayern München II (promoted)
    1. FC Kaiserslautern - SpVgg Unterhaching
    MSV Duisburg
    (relegated) - SG Sonnenhof Großaspach
    SV Meppen - FSV Zwickau
Hansa Rostock - FC Viktoria Köln
    (promoted)
    1. FC Magdeburg (relegated) - Eintracht Braunschweig
    Sunday, 21.07
    KFC Uerdingen - Hallescher FC
    Chemnitzer FC
(promoted *) - SV Waldhof Mannheim (promoted)
    Monday, 22.07
FC Carl Zeiss Jena - FC Ingolstadt 04 (relegated)

Bundesliga 2 starts one week later. Bundesliga 1 starts 4 weeks later.

    * edit: Forgot that Chemnitzer FC is also promoted

What response would you like ? A poem, a dance, a bit of karaoke ? You don't merit more than a f##k off tbf.

I think Dortmund could do it this year. They’ve added good players to a team that already pushed all the way to seasons end and Bayern have continued to see their squad thin out and haven’t made any additions to improve. A lot can change between now and the beginning on the season, but if my money was on the line I’d still go Bayern

We've signed Abdou Diallo today. Will be confirmed tomorrow. Hopefully we don't play him LB all the time like Favre did in 18/19.

Anyway, Dortmund have strengthened (Hazard etc) while Bayern have bought... Pavard. So yeah maybe we have a title race.

Don't forget his french national team colleague Lucas Hernandez, 80m €. The most expensive Bundesliga transfer (too much imo but hey, Bayern has the money. Peanuts for them).

I can see you following Bayern. Coman, Tolisso, Pavard, Hernandez. Nearly more french than germans in the team ;)

Lewandowski just said that he misses some big transfers though and that it will be difficult with this actual squad (He didn't mean difficult in the Bundesliga (they're still above all others) but for the ultimate aim, the Champions League. No doubt they'll reach the knockout rounds but they can't afford to go out in the 1/8 finals again. Maybe Fiete Arp will shoot them into the CL final

btw: Mentioning Fiete Arp. HSV just revealed the home shirt for the 2019/20 season. I'm still undecided about it. At least it's white shirt, red shorts as usual. The club colours surrounding the club logo, the Raute (Rhombus), is interesting, though.

    #RautePur (ah, diese Werbefuzzis :D)

Like last season they made again a short clip.

edit: It's a pity that Eintracht Frankfurt's attack is weakened again. After Jovic's transfer to Real Madrid they now lose Sebastien Haller to West Ham. I can understand that a young man like Jovic takes the chance to go to one of the biggest clubs in the world but Haller to West Ham? WTF, they don't even play Europa League. Is he so underpaid in Frankfurt?
