    Something along the lines of:

    Lonergan/Konstantopoulos

    McNair (could be Spence) - Woods - Batth - McQueen

    Saville - Clayton - Wing

    Tavernier - Braithwaite

    Fletcher

    At a guess.

    Do you reckon Zaha will be playing tonight @Kirby ? I fancy our chances if he doesn't.

    Basically a second string then? Would've thought TP would be keen to go for it given a QF place is at stake.

    He's said in his press conference that he'll make quite a few changes. Clayton, Briathwaite and McNair are first teamers at the moment, the rest are all close.

    I reckon we'll have a mixture. Probably similar to the last round.

    At a guess...

    Guaita
    Ward Kelly Dann PVA
    Kouyate Puncheon
    Townsend Meyer Schlupp
    Sorloth
    I'll be very surprised if he's involved. May be on the bench I suppose.

    They're games you'd probably expect to lose but they're games you will lose if you aren't at full strength. You could have beat us that night as we were really struggling at the time.

    Howe admitted the players were undercooked yesterday but they were at home to a lower division side, rode their luck a bit and sneaked through. The further you get in a competition you won't get away with doing that.

    The same teams usually win the trophies but it makes it easier if other teams aren't really going to try. Its a case of relying on the luck of the draw then. For example Bournemouth could get Burton and beat them and be in the semis, but if they then draw Arsenal or Chelsea and play the second string it's effectively throwing the tie. The last surprise was Swansea winning it and they did beat Chelsea over two legs by going for it and got a break by getting Bradford in the final.

    Agree that we shouldn't have made so many changes - could see why Norwich would, if they are trying to get promoted.

    We play on Tuesday in the CL, you play on Wednesday, so you are able to push back your cup game to Thursday and League game to Sunday. We couldn't really do that as we then only have 48 hours to prep for a huge CL game. We'd rather 48 hours to prep for a Carabao Cup game.

    Really not ideal at all having 4 games in 8 days :laugh: All stems back to our stadium delays though so we can't moan.

    Feeling a little more optimistic for tonight. Thought we'd go fairly week but there's a few big players who didn't get many minutes against City.

    I think the likes of Winks, Eriksen, Alli and Son will probably start which is promising. Intrigued to see what our defence will look like though. Aurier and KWP at full back maybe.

    Konstantopoulos;
    McNair, Ayala, Batth, Friend, McQueen;
    Wing, Leadbitter, Tavernier;
    Braithwaite, Hugill.

    It’s got to be really ****ing demoralising for a top young player like Fry (who has done nothing wrong all season) to not even get a sniff in the cup over a left back playing at centre back.

    I think it's a 4-3-3, maybe Ramsey at #10. His performance will be interesting with the fresh reports that he's been told he won't be getting a new contract.

    Mustafi starting! Hopefully it means we won't see him on Saturday.

    You're going to destroy us in the air. We only have two players over 6ft outfield :laugh:

    Get Gestede on as well and you're laughing (unless we play like Barca).
