You'd have stuck about 12 past us mate, I can understand your disappointment.

3-0 win over MK last night. First half was decent, going 2-0 up. The game lost all it's flow and structure second half when both sides made changes on the hour mark. The last half an hour of the game was essentially pointless, with MK not attacking to try getting back in the game for fear of leaving gaps, and us playing with no real conviction or pace to break them down and get more goals. Though we did eventually up the gears at the end and scored a last minute third to add a little gloss to the scoreline.

The highlight was probably seeing Rico and Lerma for the first time, both look perfectly decent additions to the squad. Rico has a sweet left boot which cracked the crossbar from 25 yards at one point. Lerma looks to have a good engine in the middle, and a nice range of passing. Obviously early days and not ideal opposition to judge either of them. But useful to get their eye in.

Fair dos to the 500 MK that traveled.

Newcastle snaked there at the end. Definitely a pen.

Poor decision, forest deserved to go through on the night though.

Why is it straight to penalties now after 90? :(

Probably so players aren’t ****ed for the weekend games? Pointless though because even the lower sides rest in this.

Ref bottled that one. Blatant pen.

Fair play to Forest though. Definitely deserved the win over the 90.

Great couple of games from Kenedy recently

Shame these games are midweek as I'd love an old skool weekend in Nottingham.

So glad you’ve given him a chance in the first team so soon after signing him, he’s got absolutely bags of potential. Got a serious player on your hands there

How a league cup tie should be .

Comfortable win with new players doing well including a real cracker from Quina .

Great to see Chalobah back - good work for Success goal .

Best player on the pitch according to those I know who went. £1m he cost.

One of only three major trophies in this country, a chance into Europe for many teams that otherwise wouldn't get it, one of the best chances to get to new grounds for many of us that go.

I'd rather see the Champions League canned than the league cup.

Might be biased because this Cup gave me one of my best memories of supporting City but I disagree, it gives teams like us a chance to go on a superb Cup run.

Wouldn't want to see either canned personally, can understand why fans of clubs who will never get a chance to play in the Champions League would want it canned though.

Shows how retarded West Ham are. Barcelona were sniffing around him a few weeks ago, so they decide to offload him to Watford for £1m. More genius from the Dildo Brothers.

I reckon an actual dildo could do a better job at running a football club then Sulivan and Gold tbh

It’s just a poorer version of the F.A. Cup, and its very existence robs the F.A. Cup of some of its presteige.

Clubs don’t tend to care a great deal about either cup as they have two bites of the cherry. Lose in the League Cup? We’ve still got the F.A. Cup. Lose in that? Perhaps they are still in the league cup.

I don’t like inferior competitions: the league cup, the paint trophy or whatever it’s called these days, to a lesser extent the Europa league. Get rid of the league cup and restore the F.A. Cup to its former glory. Think of how more important the matches will be when most teams know this is their one shot at glory for the entire season.

The glory is diluted though by there being two similar domestic cups.

I can’t even recall the cup run you’re referring to, but perhaps if there was only one domestic cup then it would be remembered for generations, as it would have occurred in a trophy that everyone is desperate to win/progress in.
