As night follows day, Manchester City get a favourable tie against a lower league side.
Happy with the draw there.
Stoke home - both teams will fancy their chances .
Will Sky go for the all Premier league ties or a Fulham v Leeds /QPR v Everton type game .
United v United a guarantee. Think Norwich Liverpool gets picked.
City v Wycombe will get picked.
They pay for the privilege tbf.
We won't be on.
I see Wayne Hennessey turned into prime Manuel Neuer tonight.
Don't think he saved one penalty for us. He even missed one. Twat.
Home to Swansea, Potter v his former club.
Hopefully we play the kids again, certainly deserve their chance to play again. Start Ferguson this time and maybe we can get the average age under 20
It'll be a young side from us, generally made up of players who'll be involved significantly in the league for us though this season.
Some absolute goalfests over the last 2 nights with Norwich , Saints & Arsenal bagging plenty .
With neither of the 3 above having Europe to worry about could be good for one of them to target the League Cup as their main hope of Silverware for the season & hope Man City somehow mess up .
Tbf last time we played them they did double over us
Ahh memories! We did OK that year - remember winning 4-0 v Stoke at home. I think we drew 0-0 at home to City and lost 2-1 away.
Yep we had 9 men vs you , Pollock sent off and Kevin Horlock sent off for aggressive walking.
Sounds about right for us. ah the famous headcase Pollock. The OG legend.
Sky will probably hope Ronaldo plays .
How strong will all 4 teams be?
Guess Moyes would love to get one over Man U.
They use any excuse early doors to get United and Liverpool on TV tbf, once the season gets going if circumstances dictate then they might have to show a relegation battle in their place or something.
Liverpool tomorrow night.
I'm an optimist so I'll say what a chance to finally get up and running.
Wimbledon. Cool tie, someone new. Would like Ramsdale to play against the first club he made an impact at but it'll probably be Leno.
Usually, we'd pick quite a rotated team but I think there's a real desire to try and do well in this and the FA Cup this year. The team we picked against West Brom was very strong.
So taking all that into account:
Cedric White Gabriel Tavares
Saka ESR Martinelli
But anyone could play. I'd personally be inclined to play Partey as well to get more minutes into him.
Edit: And some minutes for Charlie Patino. He's the next big thing at Colney.
Think we'll field a pretty strong team tbh can see Trent & Robertson definitely starting as they didn't play at the weekend. Might see Bobby Firmino make his comeback too hopefully.
Rotate, rotate, rotate.
