I used to say that last season and the season before etc etc.

I don't believe it has anything to do with luck anymore, we get far too many injuries for It to be luck, there is something wrong with conditioning training at Lennoxtown that needs looked into.

I think it has a lot more to do with what referees let other teams get away with, against us.

    Great news about Callum.

We are going to need him big time so it’s great that he is here for the long term.

I’m not even going to delve into the performance and more dropped points today as I’ve already accepted that this team aren’t good enough to pose a credible title challenge.

What concerns me is that Ange actually thought we played well. A lot of it was turgid with smatterings of decent stuff mainly from
Jota. We don’t play as a team and certain individuals shouldn’t be in the first team to start with.

I think the support are trying to hang in there, but there is only so much patience that they will show if we keep putting in performances and getting results like today’s. Ange will be afforded time if we can see progress, but it’s a concern if everything bar the result was good enough for him today.

We have a tough fixture schedule coming up and the likelihood is that we will fall further behind. I think most of us are still behind Ange, but this next four or five week period is going to test everyone to the max.

Won’t help missing some of the chances you did.

On the other hand Dundee U should have had a penalty.

I thought it was a pen too, although I also thought our player was fouled just beforehand.

Utd played well and passed through us easily at times, but we did still create enough to win the match.

As well as not being good enough, we also have no luck at the moment whether it be injuries or the ball not running for us. Contrast that with Rangers yesterday who were poor again but survived a penalty miss and still squeezed a win out.

All these things combined tell you how things are going to pan out.

Ravaged with injuries again and playing a top class side tonight.

Sunday is our big game this week. If we can win it and regroup over the international break, get injured players back and take it from there. That's despite the usual surrender monkeys within our support chucking it when we were 4 points behind in September (now 6).

Don’t hold out much hope for tonight. Avoiding a heavy defeat may be the best we can hope for given the personnel at our disposal.

The same happy clappers out there who couldn’t see the worst coming last season until it was too late will make the same mistake this time around. The same folk who were telling us that we had more than enough to see us through to January only for it be shown in jig time how short in quality we are if a few individuals are missing. Those with common sense, a pair of eyes and an ounce of football intelligence will understand the situation we are in and the struggle we will face this season.

Given a bit of hope with that line up.

McGregor and Kyogo back is great news. Let's hope they are up to speed as much as possible.

Not a surprising score line, but a cruel one as there were never four goals in it.

They are clearly a top team, but we created plenty against them. Unfortunately we keep shooting ourselves in the foot at the other end. You can’t legislate for Turnbull’s idiocy for the first goal and when you have defenders who aren’t very good at defending you will get done in by good sides. The problem is that we are also getting done by teams who aren’t that good such is how poor we are at defending, whether that be individually or as a unit.

There are a lot of positive signs going forward and Jota was again a joy to watch and Kyogo caused them problems even if he did miss a sitter. He just adds so much to the team with his movement. Their keeper was superb, otherwise he would got at least one goal.

As good as Leverkusen are, it’s soul destroying how often teams are now turning up at Celtic Park and rolling us over by a few goals. It’s become commonplace and only by investing in far better quality (especially at the back) will we gain a bit more respect at this level again.

Your last paragraph sums it up really. Given that Scotland is a two team league and you get to play in Europe every season you’ve become a spoiled fan base. Surely players with any professional ambition, beyond the obvious filthy lucre, won’t go to Scotland as it’s a professional dead end

Even although the quality of the league is poor, it has been proven that players can come here and progress before doing well in better quality leagues. I think the sheer size of both Glasgow clubs is still an attraction regardless of their performance in Europe in recent times.

Cant believe we didn't score a couple last night. Our attacking play was superb at times and deserved more.

As usual in Europe a stupid mistake let us down while we were playing well and looking like the most likely to score and once again once we concede the heads go down and a second follows shortly after.

The defending from Ralston last night was up there with some of the worst I have seen at CP.

Turnbull and Rogic can not play in the same side at this level, at times Leverkusen were breaking through and had three men unopposed in the centre circle.

Kyogo should have scored at least one last night but he showed his class in his movement and touch, that clearance from Tah when Kyogo rounded the keeper was world class.

Ange is in a really Difficult place the now as even though most fans can all see what he is trying to do and can see positives the results have to follow and at this minute a couple more defeats in the League and we are looking at a disastrous season and no matter the rebuild job that was on hand we should still be better against Scottish sides with 1/20th of our budget.

We did have plenty to see us to January. The other striker we bought then got injured and we drew a game with Dundee Utd we would have won with a decent striker.

Keep surrendering, it comes as no surprise

The very definition of having enough quality in a squad is to account for regular occurrences like injuries, but this is too much to grasp for the happy clapping simpletons who still thought we would get a draw last night after the fourth goal went in.

    Bless them.

No amount of cover can equate for any injury list.

You could have 7 strikers and then 7 injuries, you then have no strikers. Simple really, unless you are the aforementioned 'simpleton'. When you play with a lone striker then 3 strikers is normal cover for that position.

Won't be getting into any long dispute as it really isn't worth it but the 'happy clappers' will be at Pittodrie on Sunday clapping and supporting Celtic while the eternal wet wipe, surrender monkey who threw the towel in when we went 4 points behind in September drinks more soup in a forum.

Looking forward to it, have a fantastic evening
