Unlucky Wednesday. Hulls quality of players won the game.

Hopefully Hull will be interested in taking James Chester back

Shame that Hull have won really, complete non-entity and waste of a Premier League spot.

Best team won. Hull simply have the better players than Sheffield Wednesday all over the pitch and really shouldn't have needed the play offs. They've got plenty of Premier League quality players there. Hull and Burnley have both come straight back up using their parachute payments advantage well.

I think Wednesday are on enough of an upward trajectory to have a better crack of it next season, a bit like Boro.

Wednesday, Leeds and Forest all doomed to be fallen giants forever.

    Well done Hull!

The right team won, but what a dull match for everything hanging on it, congrats Hull, unlucky Owls.

If they invest again in the summer I think they'll be top 6 again next season Sheff Wed. This is the first time they've been anywhere near promotion back to the Prem since 2000, so it was unlikely to happen straight away.

    FT 1-0

Hull played well and fully deserved their win.

Very good goal from open play needed to break the strong Wednesday defence.

The goal was the only thing that was unexpected.

It was always going to be a transition/building team for Wednesday (like Brighton) and when it came down to it, Hull did the business.

I thought Wednesday had rode their luck a bit defensively tbh. Hull spurned probably half-a-dozen good chances before the goal. Wednesday didn't really have a clear cut chance that I can recall.

I'm sure Wednesday can use this next season.
Bruce got it crack on today and ultimately the experience Hull have proved crucial.
Chins up you Wednesday lads in here.Take what we went through against Watford in the play offs and stay hugely positive.

Next season: I think all three relegated clubs will be in contention. Hull looked better on the day than Norwich were ever able to play. So it is probably best they go up (for the clubs left down).

Wednesday fans won the day off the pitch.

Summer holidays. A whole ten weeks.

Not for the first time. Brighton did the same (spurned chances). Must be down to the Wednesday defence, especially Lees, Loovens and Westwood.
