Real Madrid vs. Barcelona? Manchester United vs. Manchester City? Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich? Move over.

The biggest game of the domestic season is upon us just a mere week from now. The might of Sunderland against the bell ringing skates of Portsmouth at a sell-out Wembley.

League One teams. World class talent. Sky Sports. 90,000 people.

    Let’s do this.

To be fair, 90000 people turning up to watch two 3rd tier sides in a joke of a competition is pretty impressive and just shows the strength the lower leagues in this country have. Can't imagine such an event attracting anywhere near this attendance anywhere else in the world

I can’t speak for Portsmouth fans, but we at Sunderland aren’t massively fussed if we win or not. Of course it’ll be great to bring back some silverware but it’s more the day out and having something to look forward to after the myriad of shite we’ve been through over the past few years.

    Looking forward to the game.

Was surprised to see if scores are level after 90 minutes extra time & then penalties , so could be a long day for both teams on what could be the 1st day of the year to hit 70 degrees.

Great day out for fans , but I could imagine either set would ditch the day out to be playing Championship football next season something this competition could derail !

So the Skates have totally reverted to type and are scabbing their boycott of the competition to go to the final then? F*cking city built on scabbing and it'll never change

I'm just guessing here, going out on a limb, taking a stab in the dark, it's just a hunch, I may be wrong, but Pompey aren't your second team are they?

They've been boycotting the checkatrade all the way to the final when suddenly the boycott doesn't count

Have they sold out do you know? They were expected to and as you say if they have where did the protest go :)

I've nowt against them tbf but have no reason to. Hoping both sets of fans behave and just enjoy the day out.

Hmmm lots of touts around the ground before kick-off then I'm betting. And Sunderland fans in the Portsmouth end. I know loads of our fans that are going down without tickets.

I very much doubt that! Maybe a few that are sitting with SAFC fan friends, but that's about it. We got 45k and even that wasn't enough so I doubt any will be in the hands of Pompey fans.

Just to help you out I've had the draw
    11/5 Sky & correct score 1-1 at 5/1.

Have had a sh*t March betting wise so you should be able to catch that train

In other news , with the Final being a throwback to older times Sky are showing it in black & white :D

Been all Sunderland that half. Can't remember a more one sided final.

So Pompey to equalise then win it on pens.

No way is there 90,000 people there. Loads of empty seats and that's in the popular lower tier, can't even see the upper tier.

All day long. How can we go from that 1st half performance to this.

Pompey will go on and win this now :(
