We'll likely beat Rennes at home but we shouldn't be desperately relying on our home form to scrape through this competition.

We've barely got 11 players you can rely on. God forbid any of the depth actually step up and see us through these games.

Assuming that it's rearranged, I'll likely go. Left it until this week to get a ticket and then couldn't be bothered.

Inevitable it'd happen. Hopefully Mura win tomorrow and we can just give Rennes the win and go through in second.

Fitting for this competition but Rennes disputing the postponement of this game.

Put out an official statement that they intend to play the game tomorrow and postponement not agreed by UEFA.

    Surely postponement requires agreement?

Well the statement from Spurs didn't say postponement, just that the match would not go ahead. Looks like the club has pulled the plug on the fixture and will deal with it being forfeited or postponed at a later date.

Obviously Rennes probably wouldn't want to have to play this at a later date with fixture congestion and the game being a dead rubber for them. I suspect we're just going to have to deal with a meek exit out of the competition.

    Here's the statement from Rennes

All a bit messy really. UEFA have now confirmed the game is off tonight but when they replay it is anyone's guess. UEFA require it to be completed before the end of December as per their competition rules. However there's no real time in either schedule for it to be replayed, Tottenham have a lot of games this month as it as.

Rennes have won the group and have a winter break from the 22nd Dec so it's of no benefit to them to play a rescheduled game, it feels very harsh that they should be forced to play a game at an inconvenience to themselves. Spurs should probably be forced to forfeit.

Spurs of course will want to fulfil the game but swings and roundabouts. Spurs profited off of Leyton Orient's Covid situation last season and were awarded a bye in the league cup in similar circumstances.

If Vitesse win then Spurs will want the chance to beat Rennes and qualify for the knockouts. Best case scenario is that Vitesse lose tonight and our result becomes irrelevant.

    Edit*
On that last note, Vitesse have weighed in on the postponement. Not happy that Spurs won't be playing at the same time on the final round of games.

What a shitshow really, I get Vitesse being disappointed but Rennes reaction is just classless. Should have responded that we'd be happy to play if we could field our infected players that aren't sick. Let's see it they'd like that.

We need a win really. Vitesse are likely to win their game and we're currently both on the same number of points, with us in 2nd.

Rennes have won the group already.
