Good news for their fans. Been homeless for far too long.

The Ricoh isn't my favourite stadium. A bit soulless and not a patch on their old Highfield Road stadium. The important thing for Coventry though is to get back to their city. It seems they are exploring the possibility of building a new stadium.

    Good for Cov

Went to the Ricoh once, the hour or two in the casino before the game was way better than the game itself :) Would gladly go again if and when away days start.

Really pleased for Coventry fans, having suffered 4 years at Don Valley Athletics Stadium all Millers fans understand the need to play in your own town.

It’s us or them isn’t it? Maybe when they move back they can take the curse with them..

Not heard a thing, think there would be a few lynchings if anything came of it.

The Ricoh is rubbish for a match day experience but obviously pleased if this comes off. Until it is signed, sealed & delivered then I'm not going to be holding my breath.

We've been here before, many times. I'm expecting a last minute delay then the ultimately the deal collapses.

It will be huge on the financial side of things. The budget we have while playing outside of Coventry is never going to be competitive. If this does come off, it should allow us to establish ourselves within the Championship.

Who actually owns the stadium these days? Is it Wasps or the local council?

Either way it is great news that Coventry can return to play home games in the city

As far as I understand it, Wasps own the stadium and the council own the land it’s built on.

Anyway, great news to be back. Talk of the best commercial deal being agreed that the club have had since the pests moved in, with more access to CCFC related parking, food & beverage etc. Hopefully we can make arrangements to improve the match day experience for fans, like fanzones and all that stuff.

More importantly though, we’ve got to make sure we stay in the championship this season!

Was Ricoh built where Highfield road was? And I feel you will stay up. A club needs a proper home, so the news is good, not sure what playing surface will be like though.

No. Highfield Road is not far from the City Centre and is now a housing development. There is one wall with broken glass bottles on the top which to my knowledge is the only remaining structure to HR.

Ricoh is right at the northern outskirts of the City about four miles away from HR.
