I was hoping Maddison would finally get a chance to play, but he has withdrawn due to illness! I hope Michael Keene is dropped after his horror show against Kosovo.

The Czechs are a shade on what they used to be, so this should be a comfortable win, but after the last game it seems we still have some defensive work to do.

Flying out tomorrow morning for my first England away game. Going for a 3 or 4-1 England win.

    Enjoy!

    1-3 England I reckon.

Not related to this game butBulgaria are claiming we have been offensive and disrespectful for our players saying that thy might leave the pitch in the game next week if there is racist abuse suggesting it is inviting trouble and offensive.

Well despite the claims of the Bulgarians it seems they do have a of history of racism and the game itself is being played with a reduced capacity as a result of previous racist chanting.

England: Bulgaria criticises plan to leave pitch over racist abuse

It's just blame game tactics and setting the excuses up early. When the inevitable racist abuse rains down from the stands the Bulgarians will blame the England team for 'inciting' it and provoking the fans into being abusive by winding them up before the match. It's the same kind of tactics Boris uses with Brexit where he asks the EU for concessions he knows he'll never get, but publicly makes out that he's optimistic of a deal and is trying his best to get a deal so when he inevitably doesn't he can blame the EU for being stubborn and inflexible.

Tripper trying to jump to head and defend a corner. One of funniest sights in football.

Crap defending for their equaliser too. Rice didn't cover himself in glory either.

We're really struggling for decent central defenders aren't we? And why isn't Trent playing?

More horrible defending from a corner. Quite worrying now.

No he isn’t poor defensively. He is just better at attacking but he is still the best RB in the country.

That would make sense if Trippier wasn't the replacement. Who's worse and offers far less going forward. Not to mention he could fit into children's clothes.

Wait, I've just seen who I've quoted. As you were.

He is the best right back in the country but he is still weak defensively. Rather have him over trippier everyday of the week but unfortunately I ain’t the manager.

He really isn’t weak defensively. I’ve watched every game he has ever played for us and he has had the odd game where he gets caught out but with him being 20 I don’t see the issue overall he is fantastic. Defensive awareness can be taught his crossing ability cannot.

He is, small and weak. His crossing ability is world class, his defensive ability not so much.
