What a stupid decision. Surely they must have a replacement lined up?

    What a shocking decision.

Presumably West Brom should be pissing the league.

4 wins out of the last 12. That’s 1 win every 3 games. I wouldn’t say that warrants the sack.

Is this for real? 4th in one of the toughest divisions in world football is not good enough?

I really hope this bites West Brom right on the arse. ****ing stupid decision that just about sums up modern football

I said we should stick with him.

The main problem was graeme jones who tried to get us playing like Belgium with our defenders.

On a positive at Least he still hasn't his status in tact. Obviously board didn't have faith he was the man to take us up through okay offs.

Maybe the fulham gaffer who took them up ? No to moyes etc

Was a huge blow Leicester recalling barnes & injury to Philips.

Playing Gayle out wide hasn't helped either.

I love Darren due to what he did as a player and last season and till Christmas but he's been a bit tactically inept this season. Got bailed out numerous times by Gayle and Barnes and lucky draws at home to Villa and forest.

I've said all season though he didn't really get backed either and I stand by that

Very harsh on Darren, when he came in, the club looked like it might be falling apart and we were anticipating a relegation battle or mid table mediocrity for this season and he's had us pushing to go up. I accept that we're in shit form now and generally haven't looked half as good since Leicester recalled Barnes, but I still think he'd earned the right to finish the season at least.

The timing makes me think we probably have someone in mind, but I can't say I'm excited to see who it will be.

I'm sure Darren will get a great reception the next time he's at the hawthorns and he'll absolutely deserve it.

Absolutely ludicrous, what is it with these small minded "big" clubs.

I'm glad we got to see almost a year of decent football compared to what we had to put up with the 2 clowns before.

Doesn't help being ran by clowns in mark Jenkins and our fraud of a owner who seems afraid to splash cash and even speak to the fans

For the neutral fans, I think his reputation made him out to be better than he was and the media loved him...as did us Albion fans.

But realistically he was a pretty bad manager and should have done better with the team he inherited. So, to clarify - the sacking itself isn't too shocking, but it's the timing of it which is bad. Obviously the season is coming to a close - so we should have stuck with him as I still think he'd have made the play-offs. Honestly I don't think he'd have done much in the play-offs but the play-offs can turn up some funny results, so we may have well let him see the season out.

I think if anything it just shows how our club has been mis-managed ever since Peace sold it to the Chinese...the timing of the sacking is just bizarre.

From an outside perspective, this seems bizarre, at least give him until the end of the season and a crack at the play-offs ffs.

    My early prediction is Allardyce.
