Is the "tactic" of injured players missing only International matches disgraceful?

That was posted on 9th February - 6 days and one international later they are playing for manu in an "important" FA Cup tie against Arsenal.

Is this kind of tactic disgraceful or what?

FIFA should bring out a ruling that if a player is selected and pulls out then he automatically misses the next game for is club unles the player himself states who he would prefer to represent, if he chooses his club over his country then he should never be allowed to play for his country again, irrespective of WHO he is. The clubs would then put pressure on the FA not to arrange friendlies at crucial times of the season.

I can't believe people are blaming fixture congestion  You buy an international footballer you reap the rewards and suffer the consequences, it isn't like Ferguson, Wenger.... don't know the player they're buying will have to play international matches

Bottom line - it is the international players who get the teams through round after round of these competitions bringing them "fixture congestion", so they should shut up and take it like everyone else

Spot on there TR  Blame the FA, it's their fault!
Everything they touch goes pear shaped.
I know international football isn't generally quite as exciting as Premiership football, but players should be honoured to be selected to play for their country! People like Ferguson shouldn't be able to stand in their way.
The likes of Keane and Giggs clearly have no respect for their inheritance or their respected nationalities  it's all the FA's fault though, lol.

Apparently the players who played so crap in the 1st half wanted to play the 2nd but SGE stuck to his word and played them for 45 minutes only

The reason International football takes a back seat to a lot of fans is because it happens like 10-12 times a year. I bet you all loved the World Cup........
