3rd vs 2nd at Boundary Park and both sides didn't have Extra Time to deal with last night but Walsall got a result at Port Vale whereas we lost to Derby. I wasn't there last night but I was told we could easilly have won last night had a few things gone our way, we rested MacDonald. Rooney, Dayton and JCH were subbed which suggests that the Manager was probably more focussed on this game. If we play like we did on Saturday going forward throughout the season then we'll cause a lot of sides in this Division problems. But my worry is the ball over the top, how quick is Walsall's attack? I can see us coming undone by sides with pace this season, I'm dreading what Peterborough are going to do the week after

Milan Lalkovic and Ashley Hemmings are stupidly quick.

We now have a second option now, we can pass you to death or we can knock it over the top.

Walsall looked a half decent team but look destined for mid-table like Vale just on last night alone - hard to choose much between them and ourselves.

We played rather poorly by our standards. Didn't play our game until the last ten minutes when Sawyers came on and that's when we got the winner. Cracking goal too, quick passing football from one end to the other in a flash and Bax curled it in from 20 yards!

Think we'll take a point from this, which I'll happily take.

Yes, a point would be a very decent result here, I reckon. Baxter and Rooney will spell problems for a lot of teams this year.

There will be goals.... 2-2, says I.

Think this will be a draw,we didn't play our best at all last night and we could of gone up at least another 2 gears..Oldham will be a different force this season than last

if the front 3 are as good as those 3 last season then i think they will be sniffing around the play offs last season....at least

You went on a great run last season and hopefully you can continue that

I think they have the potential to be,Westcarr links up play very well but I can't see him getting 20 like Grigg did...Baxendale has the potential to be better than Febian Brandy, feb wouldn't have scored that goal Baxo did last night...Paterson IMO was the biggest loss...but if Lalkovic plays his best,he could be on par with Pato at this level

    Walsall,
2-1 Walsall. I reckon this could be a tight game, and it will be settled towards the end.
As an aside, not sure if it was too close to the deadline to be included, but have a look in the programme if you go, I'm in there, answering some questions on Walsall!

With Lalkovic having a sore hamstring on Tuesday, what's the chances of him being left on the bench and starting with Sawyers?

I'll go for a high scoring draw, 2-2 based on results so far this season.

3-2 Saddlers, 1 goal extra from the popular 2-2 thanks to my appearence in the stands that will make the lads battle that little bit harder and get the win. ;)

Is Romaine Sawyers any good nowadays? We had him 2 seasons ago and he wasn't up to much, but 2 years is a long time for a young pro.

Same at Vale. Mind you if Gannon had signed Bale we'd have thought he was shit.

When we had him last season,he did literally nothing, but he came at a time when we were flying and the front 3 and midfield was settled and he couldn't really do much.

But in pre season he looked decent, has the appearance as being lazy, but he can ghost past players like they aren't there and finds space constantly,he changed the game for us at vale on Tuesday he found space time and time again and made some neat little passes..thing he can do very well for us
