Rashford will be back, there might be minor injuries that force some sense into Solskjaer's team selections. :hopefully

(No, I'm not hoping for injuries)

    good one!!

Rashford is back on contact training. I believe the advertising boards have more padding on them now.

Rashford back, will hopefully at least mean Sancho plays on the right. Other than De Gea, he was the only player on Saturday who looked capable of playing professional football.

Wouldn't bank on it. This is Ole we're discussing. Never does what's obviously required.

Won't surprise me if he switches Rashford to the right.

Lingard should've been on the left. Had he done that, Sancho may already be settled and on form.

Lingard should be playing every game when we insist on playing Pogba as a CM, as Lingard's workrate makes up for only having one CM doing any defensive work.

I always rated Lingard. Even when I got slated for rating him, I knew he was decent. It's a shame his personal life derailed him, he was brilliant. Now, hopefully we'll see more of him and he signs a contract.

I don't think he is good enough for the United first team. However, he is better than some of the other shite in our squad who don't seem to get dropped or transfer listed. At least with Lingard you kbow you will always get the classic United Academy work rate.

It's still a mystery why we bought Van de Beek when we can't find game time for Lingard, although the timing of Lingard's domestic issues probably had something to do with it. How Martial got picked on Saturday over Lingard, who scores more goals than him, I'll never know.

That game should've been all over in the first half.

Chelsea scored the most luckiest goal in a Champions League Final ever.

It was a game changing goal as well. We were on the back foot most of the game after that triple deflection. We still created a couple of great chances though. Giggs hitting the inside of the post was the point where I expected us to lose.

It was a typical Lampard Goal. 50 deflections and in but in this case Van Der Sar slipped when getting to the ball.

Ah well, he saved the day and Terry became a United Legend .

Well we did hit the post/crossbar twice and Rio's challenge on Joe Cole should of been a penalty. All in all, you deservedly beat a team that had to manage itself for 9 months.

    https://strettynews.com/2021/10/08/manchester-united-director-data-science/

Manchester United have announced the appointment of a Director of Data Science in a bid to drive forward the club’s use of data, it has been confirmed.
Dominic Jordan has been assigned to the role, an experienced data analyst with a background in geospatial analytics, Manchester United said on their official website.

Jordan, who is believed to be starting the role immediately, will be tasked with improving the communication between the football departments at the club through a data perspective. Jordan was previously at the forefront of Manchester-business N Brown Group, one of the country’s biggest retailers.

I have seen first-hand how data used in the right way can transform organisations of all kinds,” Jordan told ManUtd.com after taking the new job. “I would only take a role where the desire to use data to evolve and enhance decision-making comes from the top. So, to get the opportunity to do exactly that for the football club I love – well, it was a no-brainer.”

It remains to be seen how the new appointment affects Manchester United’s first-team on the pitch but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to pick the brains of United’s newest recruit, having ramped up data analysis when he took over as caretaker manager in December 2018, following the exit of Jose Mourinho.

Brace yourself. The xG's are coming.

Maybe they study Ole's brain too.
