Salzburg or Villarreal would give us our best hope, but we will do well to get past any of that lot.

I’m not really expecting much, but hopefully we can spring a surprise.

We're capable of performing at a high level, unfortunately we're also capable of what we saw last night.

I personally think you guys are setting yourself up for major failure tbh.

I wouldn't say losing to any of those sides who have far bigger budgets than ourselves would be a major failure.

Personally don't think we can beat any of them over two legs but we have money to spend in January so we will see what position we are in come the end of the window.

The same thing that happens to the rest of Scotland domestically?

It does and no one expects the rest of Scotland to challenge domestically and they don't so we shouldn't be expected to punch above our weight also.

What would the major fall be that could be taken from the point i've made though?

Also Celtic's dominance in domestic football starts from a position of equal footing. In europe we are up against clubs who's TV deals, prizemoney etc dwarf anything we have the opportunity to access.

Whilst the CL campaign was disappointing we have done what we set out to do and that was finish above Anderlecht, we've also taken more points in it than. .

    Dortmund (2) Benfica (0) Monaco (2) Olympiakos (1) Apoel (2) Quarabag (2)

Of the 5 clubs that qualified through the Champions route, Celtic are the only club to have secured European football in the new year.

    I don’t really get Andy’s meaning either.

The general consensus is that we are going to find it tough in the Europa rather than go on a long run in it.

If we get past one or two rounds that will probably be a success for us.

Realistically, I don't expect us to get past whoever we draw. We're not going to invest in the defence, so we're never going to have that foundation of security against any team with a strong attacking threat.

    They will be favourites.

Hopefully get a decent result at home to take over there, but I will see it as a bonus if we get past them.

Just read that they spent £75m in the summer so it’s fair to say that we are up against it.

Scored more goals than any other team in the EL group stages this season, we need to spend in January to give us any sort of chance.

Need to bring in dominating centre half along with a creative midfielder.

Definitely a tough one, on the bright side though always wanted to do a euro away in Russia as it's somewhere different so looking forward to it

Scott Brown is the best midfielder in Britain apparently, and Moussa Dembele is the greatest striker in Europe.

Don’t forget Tierney being basically Maldini and Sinclair is essentially the SPL Ronaldo.
