The BATE boys tomorrow. I'm expecting us to heavily rotate again. If it were up to me, I'd make sure of the result and play a stronger team.

    Ospina
    Holding Mertesacker Monreal
    M-Niles Wilshere Elneny Kolasinac
    Walcott Giroud Sanchez

That's my guess. I'm concerned with the number of games Monreal and Kolasinac will get through this season.

Arsenal kicking off at 6 for anyone interested, must be a first for Arsenal playing at this time.

Don't bother. Game over and you'd have to mute it as the Wilshere jizzfest is too much.

He's been the best player on the pitch by a country mile. But it doesn't excuse some of the hyperbole.

I thought our team was a bit on the weak side but BATE are truly horrific at the back. It's not an exaggeration to say we should have 6 goals and not 3.

Poor Giroud...he's desperate for his 100th goal.

I switched off at 3 tbh because it's a mismatch of a game.

Wilshere was looking good but Hartson (I think) was so over the top. Let's see him do it every week against better opposition before getting carried away.

Good for Arsenal, they'll probably be able to rest a few more in gameweek 5 and 6. Four wins will see them top the group.

Crap second half. Giroud gets his 100th goal though.

Pretty bad 2nd half, thought Willock was impressive.

Once again, blue noses giving us grief over our result (away to the Russian champions, albeit shite) and they can't even beat a ten men side of Cypriot fishermen a few days later. And it wasn't even a fluke, Apollon gave them a good game. Its just a pity Allan (Liverpool youngster) didn't grab a goal.

It would be funny any other year, but the fact that they spent a shed load of cash on so called top signings that Liverpool fans were jealous of  were suggesting they'd challenge the top 4 and were claiming they'd be the top club in Liverpool in the next few years makes it absolutely comical. Even their proposed ground is looking unlikely now Liverpool didnt win the commonwealth games, they were looking to geg in.

Everton, forever the gift that keeps giving.

Rough performance so far. No one in the middle to control the ball and build play so we're relying on fleeting moments of magic. They aren't coming

Not an easy place to go but you'd still expect better. I suppose the main thing is getting to the next round which Arsenal will do with ease whatever the line up.
Hard to enjoy these games, they're equivalent to England qualifiers. It's not pretty and you know you'll get through so it's just a chore to watch.

I think Arsenal will pinch it in the second half but it's worrying this is where the club are at. They should be a class above at this level.

I dunno. Another half like that, probably not.

We've heavily rotated which I don't mind but play players in their proper positions. Maitland-Niles isn't a wing-back, Elneny and Debuchy aren't centre-backs, Nelson is not a wing-back, Wilshere should be in the middle, Coquelin and Willock aren't ball players. It's a disjointed mess.

The only exciting thing is Reiss Nelson. But he's stuck at wing-back when he should be further forward and allowed to express himself.

We really need a win on Sunday though.
