Interesting is Aberdeen vs Burnley in the 2nd qualifying round (starts 26th July). RB Leipzig also has to play in this 2nd round. I bet the Leipzig Officials are hoping for an early exit of Germany, Sweden and Denmark so that maybe Werner, Forsberg and Poulsen can have enough rest (or they'll have to play it without them)

So, time to "revive" this thread because tomorrow the 2nd round starts and here we have "the battle of Britain" tie (according to Susan from Scotland. We even have an own thread here in this section about it (and maybe one of our Scottish Users will make another one in the separate Scottish Forum? )
Leipzig will start tomorrow, too , against Swedish team from BK Häcken (they're from Göteborg).

By rights Burnley should walk all over the top of Aberdeen but it's football and you never know.

It's a pity that Aberdeen couldn't hold the 1-0 lead and Burnley got a tie. Haven't seen the match (don#t know if it was even televised) so can't comment on the quality of their play but now they have to score too at Burnley. Tbh I would be happy if they can give Burnley a good 2nd match in England.

Leipzig with a no-problem 4-0 win against the swedish side. Had thought that the Swedes would give the Saxons a harder fight.

Surprised that Atalanta couldn't get an easy win against FK Saravejo. I mean, they will probably win second leg but I was expecting a little more

They won the 2nd leg in Sarajevo .....8-0!. Couldn't believe the score at first, lol :D

Leipzig played only with a B-team in Sweden after the 4-0 in the 1st leg, 1-1 this time.

Burnley advances but they needed extra time for a 3-1 win in the end. Glasgow Rangers also in the 3rd round. A 1-1 was enough after the 1-0 away win from the 1st leg.

In the next round Burnley plays against a Turkish club, Basaksehir (?), Glasgow Rangers against Maribor and Leipzig against Craiova (Bulgaria, I think? ).

Almost didn't believe! But I watched the game, Atalanta really was in another level.
As for Burnley, I can say Basaksehir will not be easy to defeat. They almost end up being Turkish champions and they have a solid squad. But still, Burnley most win if nothing absurd happens...
Craiova is romanian! Lost most of the good players in this transfer window. If they avoid an ugly loss they will probably be happy.

Really enjoyed the Burnley game. Aberdeen did really well in the tie but Burnley had the better chances overall.

It'll be a tough tie against the Turkish side who have Inler, Adebayor, Clichy and Arda Turan in their side.

Basaksehir sounds a bit like "Bakschisch (Bakshish)" but I don't think they're willing to send gifts to Burnley, eh? ;)

oops, so much for my knowledge of Eastern European countries :D

People in the Scottish forum were calling that a dodgy result last week.
The fact they've gone through needing two goals late on with ten men is certainly questionable.

They're good at home so isn't impossible but looks tough for them.

Reckon that’s it for Burnley, had some hard fixtures compared to what you usually see at this stage

I don't know what Burnley fans consider full strength but BBC suggesting lots of changes and a second string side.
Shame if they crash out of Europe this early having not given it a go.

They're a well run club and could easily get promoted again if they go down. A European adventure is much rarer.

At least they got a couple of European trips I suppose after the Aberdeen game.

I thought the same tbh which is why I was curious on burnley fans opinions.
They have a relatively small squad, not sure why they didn't strengthen more in the summer.

Tarkowski and Lowton on the bench is quite baffling tbf but other than that it looks as good as they have.
