Wow Celtic. Brilliant performance, going toe to toe with a side competing right at the top every year in Serie A. It could have gone either way, but great finish at the end and they were rewarded for the confidence they played with.

Who'd have thought they'd have got six points out of six against Lazio, and qualify from their group with two games to spare?

Rangers drew with Porto away, and now face them at home and have every chance of winning that game. Should be good.

Tavernier's a winger or a midfield player, never a defender.

    Cracking result for Celtic that.

    Rangers 2 - 0 too.

Nasty head injury for one of the Bratislava players - game was stopped for sometime .

    Hopefully no lasting damage .

One of the worst I’ve seen in some time.

Don’t think he moved for a good 8 minutes.

Hope he’s ok, will post updates when I hear them out here. Also thought the yellow card was harsh for it tbh

Wolves round a good night off for the British sides.

Celtic and Manchester United are through, Arsenal and Wolves close to following them. Rangers are in a good position themselves albeit in a tricky group so I think they need another win at least.

Rangers' group reads like a CL group, so I assumed they would fail miserably, so they will atill have a chance of qualifying going into the last game, having played arguably thw strongest team twice. Can't ask for more than that.

Celtic must be delighted as well. Qualified with 2 games to spare.

Rangers did brilliantly. 4 points from 6 against a Porto side that got to the last eight if the Champions League this season.

Very good chance of having two Scottish sides in the last 32, which will be good for their coefficient.

Their ultras are an organised fascist criminal faction, that the Italian police have been too corrupt and inept to prevent for decades. Nothing will be done.

We played well last night, 60 odd % possession and 20 shots. We had about 5 really good chances plus the missed penalty so we should have won more comfortably, the Bratislava keeper made a couple of really good saves, god knows how he got to the deflected Moutinho shot.

1 point required from the last 2 games to qualify.

Really? I was actually thinking that whilst you had a lot of possession, you didn't do much. You started & ended brightly but otherwise I thought Slovan did pretty well in defence. The penalty was outside the box & the biggest other chance was a deflected shot, for all the Wolves possession I didn't see anything clinical going forward tbh. Of course you deserved the win, but I didn't think you played well.

An update on the Slovan defender Bajrica. He's suffering concussion, had his CT scan and other examinations and everything came out ok. He is still in hospital in England and will be until it's safe enough for him to fly home. He'll be fine, thankfully.

We were more than comfortable. Bratislava were ok defensively but their keeper was definitely their MOTM, there was the penalty save, the deflected shot, and 2 really good saves from Jimenez either side of half time, the one in the first half was a brilliant save - did really well to get down so fast as it was heading right inside the post. Over 60% possession shows we controlled the game. When it was 0-0 late on I was never worried, and always felt we'd score.

We do need to be more clinical though, and there were numerous times where we got in to good positions out wide and put decent balls in with nobody there to finish off the chances.

Greif also made a brilliant save from Jimenez in the first half which resulted in a corner, Doherty in the second half after Moutinho played him in and a long range Neves shot which was moving all over the place. Plus the deflection and the penalty that's five opportunities the goalkeeper kept it 0-0.

I think we played as well as we had to, our entire left side of Kilman, Vinagre and Neto have a combined age of 61 and unsurprisingly we were a bit disjointed attacking on that side.

Not denying you weren’t comfortable, just didn’t think you played that well - but I agree with the statement that you played as well as you needed to.

Slovan are obviously miles off your standard.

Grief is a good GK though you’re right. He will be gone by summer as I think he has the potential to challenge Dubravka at Newcastle but needs to play in a stronger league

It was weird as he was obviously so weak for our first in Bratislava so seeing him pull out save after save last night was annoying
