Basically be down to how seriously these teams take the tournament really .

Will they all care about it?

There is nothing weird about a team being in the champions league rather than the europa league because they won it... that is the point of it.

They would have qualified through their league position too.

Happy with that. Haven't got to go to Mordor and back for the away games.

Semis, then finalists....hopefully it'll be third time lucky.

Edit: Our away match with Vitoria will have to be played on a Wednesday due to geographical issues with Porto and Braga. UEFA don't want all 3 sides playing on the same day. However the game can't clash with CL fixtures so the game kicks off at......3.50pm

Porto not even playing in Portugal that week. Ridiculous.

If you told me a few years ago that Red Star would play in the Champions League in 2019-20 while Manchester United wouldn't, I would have just laughed. But that's reality now.

The consolation is that Manchester United were drawn with Red Star's eternal rivals Partizan in the group stages. I have never had an opportunity this big to watch them. I really got to make the effort and organize a trip to Belgrade with some of my mates this time.

They're not part of the 2 club mob. Belgrade is plenty of fun in general for us younger folks, and I am certainly not planning to go there on my own.

Good group for Wolves. They should progress from that.

Quite pleased Wolves, Rangers and Celtic are in it. It's hard to get excited watching Arsenal and United at this stage. They'll both qualify comfortably.

I wonder if Wolves will play a weaker side given their league form or maybe on the other hand try to get a win to boost confidence.

Should be going for it. They'll be fine come the end of the season as far as the league is concerned.

I get the impression they will anyway. There would have been no shame in going out to Torino but they played a strong side to ensure they go through so they must want to be in it.

Burnley were the opposite last season, didn't look fussed about Europe and were out pretty quick.

    Europa (league) ! JA!

Eintracht Frankfurt begins today against the biggest opponent in this group. Arsenal. Will be interesting to see how they can blank out the recent disappointing results in the Bundesliga (#9, 6 pts from 4 matches and last weekend a 1-2 at bottom placed Augsburg).

They've now lost their whole attack from last season (after Jovic (Real) and Haller(West Ham) now Rebic (AC Milan). That's huge but with Bas Dost from Sporting they've got a proven goalscorer, too.

tbh I would be pleased with a draw against the Londoner.

Wolfsburg against an Ukrainian club (Oleksandrija or so) and Gladbach against the Austrians Wolfsberger. Normally this should be 2 wins. Normally...

It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that Wolves go quite far in this competition if they focus on it and build a run of momentum.

They have a few players with experience in the competition, international experience and the manager is no stranger to continental competitions. Atmosphere in the home games at Molineux in tight knockout round games could be a real advantage too.

20-1 to win it. Worth a fiver.
