They should all be forced to give up their share of the TV money this season

Punishment is a joke. The "big six" are a joke, the rest of PL have effectively let them off here.

The 30 pt deduction and 20m fine for future actions is a good thing on paper but just means they will absolutely make sure all there eggs in a row before trying again.

(Not a dig solely at Chelsea, so please don't get antsy Chelsea fans)

What a f*cking piss take that "punishment" is, proves once and for all that the premier league don't really give a shit about anyone except the big clubs,

Would love to see fans of the other teams organise a boycott of their grounds now

Any fine levied on United will simply find its way onto the debt figure.

Boycott headed up by the big six probably.

They'd no doubt welcome having no away fans and use it as an opportunity to get some more daytrippers in to spend a shitload of money in the club shops and on popcorn, champagnes and whatever other nonsense they can get away with.

Do you want 3,000 fans from Southampton up for an afternoon or 3,000 extra bums from Korea to watch Son?

No surprise. The PL as an entity only cares about itself.

I'll repeat this point, the PL doesn't give a flying **** about integrity, fair competition or sporting merit. If they did, we wouldn't have financial doping, sport washers or capitalist vultures owning our clubs.

I don’t think any of this matters tbh. What matters is our league is not being broken up by a greedy few who have misjudged their own power in the sport. The real power lies with the fans, and it was the real fans of those clubs that stopped this in its tracks. Any points deduction isn’t fair imo

It doesn't matter what policeman thinks the punishment should be -
without there being an alternative solution being proposed.

The real damage inflicted may not only be the fans' trust in the game's integrity to steer clear of shareholders being held to ransom by commercial influences that care only about the satisfaction of a financial 'quick-fix', when the medium-to-long-term viewpoint holds far more potential - IF you scratch the surface.

Players' careers, regardless of the obscene money they currently earn, are in danger of serious burnout damage caused by ever increasing performance demands. The perceived debate about 'greedy [so-and-sos]' masks how quickly the game is developing, so creative, progressive thinking is badly needed - and fast - before the snowball effect spirals completely out of control.

A return to Champions' League being for the state nations Champions' ONLY may horrify owners in such uncertain times.
It will also give the competition the chance to become a challenge more and a leisure past-time less; credibility, integrity, wider marketing potential to those who know the game's dynamics. Plus slightly fewer fixtures not only tightening margins of error, but increasing the significance of every game played will help performance increase balance hand-in-hand with the demands it warrants.

People are very concerned about politicians interfering with sport.
Party politicians: yes - keep out.

But then getting rid of ALL party political ideologies from public influence and letting powerful people speak entirely with their own conviction will result in good ideas brought together: in defeat of greed - and the quick-fix.

The Europa Conference, believe it or not, offers a certain hand of opportunities.

Another real wild-card in this mess could well be the Womens' game - specifically how the Womens' Champions' League can be tailored to market alongside the "Mens" Champions' League: to the benefit of all...
