I wouldn't miss any of the so called "big six" tbh. I don't even watch the Champion's league. Money money money.

I’m aware of that. I know they’re not of concern. I was saying they have the power to disrupt it and put it down the shitter if they were inclined to. If the local fans don’t want it to happen enough, it wont happen. But it depends on how many are against it, how many are all for it and how many are apathetic towards it.

I wonder how sky/bt would react if we kicked all 6 out of the PL? would they try to bail out of contractual obligation?

They wouldn't have to bail out, there'll be clauses that automatically suspend or cancel existing contracts if substantial changes are made.

You’d imagine the Premier League would sue the 6 clubs for any lost revenue from the broadcasters.

it would take some balls for them to execute them though if those clubs are expelled as punishment for this and I'm not sure they would have the stomach for it

Remember England signing with SKY SPORTS over the then-5Nations broadcasting rights.

    A reality-check is needed.

We need an alternative of our own too,
for the relentlessly-forward workload being put on top-class athletes is snowballing out of control.

Time for the politicians to step in.

Yep, I'm afraid the exploitation of marketing commerce has been abused for too long,
and the consumer is being sold something it no longer is. A reality-check needed...

I don't understand. The broadcasters wouldn't need balls to suspend TV contracts, they'd be insane not to. It would be like buying a car and then finding it had no engine.

Thankfully Bayern are still having nothing to do with it.

Why would they? They are in a one team League where they're the one team - how much cushier can it get?

You're lucky with the Bundesliga ownership rules where fans own 51% of the shares which prevents stuff like this from happening. Shows just how fantastic that ownership model is.

not really, a league that anyone of about 8 teams could win would be a fantastic product for them

The fact that Bayern wouldn't be in it but Spurs would does make the whole thing a bit of a joke.

Which is why they earlier tried to get control of the EPL by those voting rights earlier (and also the EFL by making the EFL reliant on them for bigger sums of money).

Not sure why the big 6 think they can have this closed shop shit show and stay in official competitions, if we need to massively overhaul our squad to stay afloat after kicking them out then so be it.

Bit of an idealistic view that.

its all about how they market, Sky being forced to actually focus on other teams would increase interest in those teams, if you constantly tell people only 6 clubs matter they will think only those 6 clubs matter and those clubs will believe it too
