No idea if this is real or not but football leaks (the website that acts as football's version of wikileaks) has leaked this that apparently has the names of the founders of a European Super League.

Sadly, or not depending on your opinion, football leaks are normally more right than wrong.

I'm torn on it. From a sporting point of view and deciding the best team in Europe, it is the next logical step. Seeing the best teams play each other week in and week out is an exciting prospect but the cons that come with that prospect are far too damaging.

I've made my opinions clear on this on here many times, for me i think f*ck them and let them go. I do feel sorry for the real fans of those clubs though, they're having their clubs sold out because of a tv deal and overseas/plastic fans.

Let them go then, let the local supporters create phoenix clubs (some already have).

Each to their own but I'd rather watch my team in the Championship (yeh, I know I will be able to soon).

Just don't really see the appeal to ordinary fans of the clubs involved. But I guess they're not really part of the consideration.

I've got no idea about the veracity of the account that's tweeting this (maybe one of the liverpool lads like @King_Kenny will know?) but going back through their tweets it sounds like they're looking at a start date of 2021

    A few questions:

    - What would happen to the Premier League?
    - Would the Champions League and Europa League be scrapped?

I know the guy who runs that account, it won't be bullshit. From football leaks with the Man City corruption stuff too.

    What a lovely prospect...

Couldn't care less about any such super league. Football is about tribal rivalry and years of tradition and competition, not a pan global TV orientated bore fest against teams you've scarcely heard of from Christknowswhereistan.

Might be starting to make sense why Amazon and Netflix pulled out of the bidding for the premier league TV rights that end in 2022 and why Wenger said that a European Super League is inevitable now.

I genuinely feel sorry for anybody supporting any of the clubs that have signed up for this. If this happens, can we rename the PL division one again? I will say though it's not just the big clubs that are greedy. We ourselves (Palace) voted yes to the PL. Just such a shame that money is the only thing that matters.

Really great way to treat loyal fans & domestic leagues.

    Interesting that Spurs aren't there.
