In the Boro end I hope, I know you're a big fan .
So our game got postponed this evening.
So now we have:
Spurs (H) Saturday 18th Jan
Villa (A) Tuesday 21st Jan
Tranmere (A) Thursday 23rd Jan
If we win the replay United or Wolves Sunday 26th Jan.
Potentially 4 games in 7 days. Will have to play the kids against Tranmere... even more than we were going to!
Basically if we somehow beat Tranmere Wolves or Man U will get a bye into the 5th round!
Unless that game gets pushed into mid-week?
Be a nightmare ticket wise etc.
Was looking forward to seeing Troy tonight. Twitter gave us this too:
Then the team comes out!
Spurs are going to stroll to a thumping win here.
I see Jose Mourinho without featuring Harry Kane's Tottenham have picked a strong side & already 1 up after 2 mins.
Good start Boro
Looking very comfortable and then that happens
Not expecting Boro to trouble us from here and wouldn't be surprised if we score a few more but **** me this is boring. Next to no width and the front players look like they don't know each other.
2-0 now, that'll be the game done.
Shrewsbury home to Liverpool in round 4.
Fair play to Middlesbrough, they kept that competitive right until the end
Bristol City will be pretty disappointed but Shrewsbury are a good side.
Nah, they'll be happy they kept Shrewsbury down to just 1 goal. Isn't that right @J Rocker @JoshBCFC ?
They also needed a replay to get to that point to be fair.
As did Spurs.
Honestly, the first 20 minutes was really poor from us. I think it says more about Middlesbrough than us that we were 2-0 up.
The first was a mistake from the keeper and the second was a bit fortunate too in Lamela getting the ball.
Ordinarily I'd be pleased we're through but I've no faith, even with a kind draw, that we'll win this competition.
Nah you're knobs
Southampton away only £10 - decent. Hoping the allocation is big enough (5,300) that I'll get a ticket for this one too and I can tick off a new ground.
Surely they’ll have to move a fixture for you? That’s ridiculous. Even the bigger teams with massive squads would struggle there.
If the footballing authorities expected Liverpool to play 2 games in 24 hours on opposite sides of the world, what makes you think they will care about Watford having to play 2 in 48 hours?
Well when you put it like that I guess they don’t, but with all competitions being English then surely a compromise might be easier?
Of course it would, but you're using common sense to apply this and unfortunately having common sense is not part of the job spec at the FA.
The simple thing to do would be to postpone the Villa match but it won't happen
Well yes but Watford are in a relegation battle which a fixture pile up could massively impact. They have to at least be asking the question of the FA and PL.
