Vierchowod > Gentile and Cannavaro.

Fernando Couto >>>>
I see your Fernando Couto, and I will raise you one Siniša Mihajlović.
@Guyett you're missing out man, plenty of your favourites to jizz over.
Matthias Sammer. Complete footballer, not top 10 in terms of defensive ability, but the peak of his offensive impact is up there with the legendary liberos.
Karlheinz Förster, is regarded as a top 10 alltime stopper.
No way I'm having him in a 4, too offensive, worthy of a mention though!
Wasn't he Milan coach?
Played for one of my favourite teams from the late 90s/early 00s.. SS LAZIO. His freekick rating would be 99 on FIFA
can't believe Taribo West hasn't had a mention
I'd love to but I am currently fighting with my laptop trying to get illustrator working
3 goals in 3 games
Did you rate the big Greek when he played for you? Never gonna learn how to spell his name on principle.
Yeah he was good mate, surprised he ended up at Liverpool tbh
Again, I'll just go with players I've actually seen play:
I'm not sure ... maybe in a place between 41-55.
I remember in another forum called XtraTime there was a thread like this and Figueroa was in the couple of center-backs.
If I put him in central defenders, would be in the No. 10 position.
but he never played in a defensive line of 4 ... always as advanced libero with 2 defenders behind him and as midfielder ... I think his role was similar to Uli Stielike.
As Maldini was put in LB:
Domingos Da Guia
A mix of the research I've done with the best I've ever seen.
In case I get any shit for including John Terry... He is responsible, to me, for the single greatest goal line clearance I've ever seen. And I will always want someone capable of making this play on my team if I had one.
