I'm a self-confessed Final Fantasy worshipper, only played the games since they came out on Playstation though

    Completed VII, IX and X

Got stuck at the same bit on VIII three times :(

Love the games. Played Final Fantasy VII when it came out on the PC and was hooked. I've finished VII, VIII and X, plus Final Fantasy Adventure and Final Fantasy Legends 1,2 & 3 on the Gameboy.

I'm a Final Fantasy addict although I have to say the new one hasn't lived up to what I expected from it but anyhow I've completed VII and X. The third CD on VIII was a bit messed up so I couldn't complete that one but even then I regard it as the best in the series.

Ive completed 9 and loved 10 but I got half way through it and I ran over my disk with my chair and it snapped. Can't wait for 12.

    Which bit was that??

I got stuck so many times whilst playing FFX. The fight with Seymour on the mountain was a total bitch.

Fight with Seymour? Easy shit, sir. Actually, the fundamental storyline was a piece of cake. Celestial weapons, hidden aeons, dark aeons and the indefeasible Penance :smokin:

Only ever played and finished VII, which I still believe was one of the best games ever.

    Too right

The characters, the storyline, the whole world that you became immersed in was just something that ive never experienced in any other game...and probably never will again!

I think that VI for the SuperNES ran it close though...

Nothing has come close to VII and IX - out of this world.

See what the 360, PS3 and Wii produce.

Just got myself Final Fantasy XII yesterday ... and spent far too much time on it last night. Very good game. The battle system takes getting used to, but its got a lot of potential. Great storyline so far.

Could well turn out to be the best FF game since VII.

FF VII was just immense. Great storyline, characters and too many good bits to mention.

VIII was really good but I never completed it, the 3rd disc was broken! Loved the card game as well. Might have to try and buy it cheap.

Never played IX, I liked X but not as much as the others. Just the storyline and characters didn't seem as good.

I'd put VII and VIII down as my two favourite games ever, in no particular order. VII is just revolutionary, whereas VIII had the complete storyline with the tear-jerker of a romance in between. I think the Soundtracks complete the games - Nobuo Oematsu was wasted on FF!

I've also completed VI, IX and X, and they're all excellent in their own right. X takes some time to get used to, but it still has all the appeal of an FF game.

Anyway, there's no better feeling in respect to games than using Lionheart to finish off Ultimecia when Squall is the last man standing with just 1 HP left! That's how I first completed Final Fantasy VIII! The half hour FMV was worth every minute.

VII was when I first started playing, and could not put down, it was brilliant.

VIII was also good, had a foray into more recent ones but never really got into them, but may have a look at XII
