Would love to see The Gulls back in the league. Attended many games back in the 80's watching players like John Turner, Steve Cooper, John Simms, Derek ' The Dude ' Dawkins et al. Enjoyed revisiting Plainmoor for that friendly a few years back with Leeds.

We already have four and two of them were here when he arrived! Hopefully we can keep them for the season. Edwards and Andrews have been class for us. Janneh is a nuisance but can't finish though I'm sure once he gets one he will go on a run.

Was a cracking appointment for Torquay. Was hoping we might have appointed him during our early season struggles but he seems to only manage clubs in the South-West nowadays. Still, I am happy to see Andy back with us. Onwards and upwards! Hopefully.

Didn't realise Hessenthaler was your manager I also didn't realise Dover Athletic were only 35 years old. Hope you manage to avoid the drop this season.

Went to see Wealdstone v Torquay a few weeks back. They were very good. A very solid team.

You can see why they have the best defence in the league. All of their defenders are absolute tanks over 6ft 5!

What size crowds do Wealdstone get ? I think I remember reading there was 200 Torquay fans at the game.

About 700-900 usually. Or if theres a good away following it goes up to approx 1200. There were about 200 Torquay fans there you're correct, usually it isnt segregated at Wealdstone but it was for that game.

Thanks. But it will be a tough task after such a bad start to the season. Chris Kinnear is a bit of a Dover legend but it wasn't only results which were a problem towards the end of his reign - some of the football was pretty dire to watch at times. We've always been a bit of a yo-yo club to some degree and whilst the Conference/National League has been our highest level so far, getting into the football league remains the dream. After four good years since returning to the Conference, we might have missed our best chance of league status for the foreseeable future. This season is now all about survival.

Similarly, I wish Leeds the best of luck for promotion. Been wanting you and/or Forest back in the top division for some time now. Whilst achievement needs to be obtained via the pitch, Leeds are obviously a top flight standard club and the top flight has gone too long without you. And Bielsa adds yet another level of interest to Leeds in 2018.

went to see AFC Fylde v Borehamwood at the weekend. Great 'blood and thunder' december match with fylde winning it with 2 late goals. I have to say very impressed with the quality in this division and will go again.

I am not surprised. And if they deny Billericay and Tamplin automatic promotion then that would be just great! We already have one laughably bankrolled team in the Conference in Salford City (hoping they go up this year as with their private wealth they are wasting/stealing a place in the Conference) and I don't want another one like them next season.
