He was talking about certain players talking during matches and making other sounds to put him and others off. In other news how lucky was Price tonight?

There's a big coke culture in the PDC as well, the thinly veiled "sniffing" and "testing" comments were hinting at that. Make it sound like Covid to avoid sanction, but apparently most of them are at it.

Regarding gamesmanship, I'm ok as I block most stuff out when I'm playing. If a guy is taking ages to retrieve their darts, then I'll stand back an extra 10 secs after they returned to waste more time, etc... I've seen it cause a few scraps though.

Chizzy sounds like a street name for coke so I’m going to guess Chisnall based solely on that.

Any idea if they test for roids? Or test for anything?

    Gerwyn's a classic Valleys roidhead.

James Wade is made of granite. He just sticks around and finds a way to win. Never in front vs DVB and on the ropes. 15 all and wallop...he puts a massive leg in, some competitor.

Typical Wade, he's made a career out of stealing wins against players who lose their bottle. Same thing will probably happen in the final against the unknown Portuguese bloke, hope not though.

    A) How dare you insult the Portuguese legend that is Jose de Sousa. The man is a god.

    B) Wade has been class this week. I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I think he’s a great player to watch on form.

I'm not particularly a fan of his general persona. I believe he was diagnosed as bipolar and seems a complex person. Jose de Sousa has been playing great. He needs to get into a good lead though, a close game which goes down to the wire favours Wade definitely.

King is never winning a PDC TV title. What a shit attitude he has. Maybe focus on your game instead of trying to make a point by pulling your face every time VG celebrates. Two times he's been in a final and looked at his opponent as if they're a moron for errr... celebrating winning a big title..

Was rooting for him at the start, but after all that I'm actually glad MvG won.

I loved Merv ripping it out of the gurner.

I don't begrudge player's celebrating winning a game, or even a leg (when there's a crowd to play up to), but to celebrate a big score, come off it.

Thought Merv played brilliantly as well. He may not get over the line, but he may well be the best player to never win a major.

Should've been concentrating on winning the title. Of course, VG's gurning is ridiculous, we all know this. But King is in a big final - they don't come around that often - and he's preoccupying himself with VG's antics and making a point by pulling faces at him. Absolutely bloody stupid, and suggested he couldn't handle the pressure to me. And he didn't even have a crowd to worry and moan about, unlike in the past.

He's a quality player, but he's his own worst enemy. He's been the most miserable, moaning ****er over the years, and yesterday just capped it all off. He should've probably won a couple of big PDC titles in his time - or more, I mean there's two he totally threw away just for starters, and last night if he'd focused solely on his game, every chance it makes the difference. Winners don't waste time worrying about it 'not being like it was in the old days'. Like I say, he was even pulling his face at VG for having the audacity to celebrate winning the title - just a total joke.

    https://www.dartswdf.com/2020/12/18/...december-2021/

The WDF have announced a new World Masters event to take place in Dec 21. Unlike the BDO one which was held all around the country at different times, the WDF have agreed for the Dutch Darts Federation (NDB) to host it in Assen, where the Dutch Open (the biggest darts open in the World) is held. No news on TV yet, though I'd be amazed if Eurosport don't pick it up.

This is great news for the amateur side of the game. Hopefully their new World Championship will be announced soon, and hopefully it'll be back at Lakeside.
