Shame as I think she’s good for the womens game.
Only fair she has to qualify though.
She's simply not consistent enough.
Arguably the best women's player of all time, Lisa Ashton, is now fighting for her tour card again having had one for the past 2 years. Unfortunately, she's also lost in the first round today, but she had a decent run yesterday making the last 32 so getting 3 points.
Last year around 7 points was enough to get a card - top 13 in UK and top 11 in Europe will get one.
Was following for a while earlier, and she had a very good win in her first match, good performance, but then a loss in the next round. Lot of pressure on her to have a deep run tomorrow. Last 32 for Lisa again.
Never would've expected Ross Montgomery to win a card outright, or win one at all, but then there are always surprises. Richie Burnett will surely have the points to get one - it seems as though every time I look at the scores he's at the business end of the day's event.
Just noticed the PL format is being radically changed. Literally skimmed for a minute or so, but looks as though it'll be 8 players and based on one-night tournaments. Sounds like a bad idea. Especially as they were so eager to expand to 10 players in the first place.
Fallon needs to make the final at least, more than likely win it. A few might well pull out though thinking they're already safe, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
Ross is a funny one - he can hit a ton plus average, but he's just as likely to hit a 60 average. He's won the Dutch Open before and that's the largest open in the World so not easy to do.
