I'd love for us to win this but I just don't think the squad is strong enough. I'd settle for a good solid performance from the youngsters.

Sure we will win or get a draw - usually do in the friendlies!

I'd like Redmond and JWP to be given a go really rate them. And Michael Keane.

Should be a good game (usually is). I imagine Germany will make more changes than England, so it should narrow the gap in class.

    Would like this:

    ------------------ Hart
    Walker Stones Cahill Bertrand
    --------------- Dier Alli
    Sterling --- Lallana Chamberlain
    ----------------- Defoe

But can see Henderson playing and Alli pushing on instead of Chamberlain. Should be a good game but can't see Germany not winning.

Henderson is injured and even if he wasn't he is our best cm.

We're seriously lacking decent defensive midfelders. Dier or Henderson haven't been consistent enough.

Winks should of been called up, although I'd understand if people don't agree due to him not being a regular starter for us yet. He will be the future of our midfield imo

Definitely one for the future but I don't think he's ready yet, at least with Ward Prowse he is pretty experienced for a young kid.

If this was a qualification game or other than a friendly, the Germans would beat us at least 3-0. However as its a friendly the Germans will win easily also, but as they wont be trying hard it wont be as humiliating. If England had a decent manager like Big Sam or Terry Venables then we would do well. Southgate is another `yes man` incompetent and jobs for the boys manager who is going to be another five years or whatever he has in charge, of waste of time. He will wear a suit and tie, and look smart.

You are so right. That Iceland game was an utter embarrassment to English football and showed what some of these overpaid prima donnas are like.

Yes that'll show the English players how much they let the country down, I'm surprised they've not called the game off given that you two aren't going to watch it on the TV.

Both England and Germany have various players injured, might be a boring 1-1 but I secretly think England will hump Jerry.

He has put Hart back in the nets. Imbecile! Harts clangers and out of position goals that he let in in the World cup were one of the huge factors that caused England to exit. Jobs for the boys again I see. Man city got rid of Hart the second he returned from the World cup in France, because the City manager knew, he knew. Hart also has zero bottle, he bottles and cocks up under pressure every time.

Oops. Didn't notice this thread...terrible dive by Vardy should have been booked, even worse was the commentator trying to defend him.

It's not proper football, no friendly game is. England beat France, Germany and Portugal in the build up to Euro 2016 and those teams reached the semis. Totally pointless.

The problem for England is the qualifiers aren't testing either as they're playing against amateurs and League Two calibre teams.
