End of season fatigue is not setting in for everyone as the penultimate week of the season yields no less than 6 full house bonuses as the battle for supremacy goes into the final week! It's not at the top of the table that we begin though as we head south to Willy Sagnol who is heading towards a strong finish of his first season with a week high score for the 3rd time this season. But there were full houses claimed at the top of the table as well and have full houses for SalopTillIDie and Vanni turned the 4 horse race into a 2 horse race as they both head into the final week tied on points and only separated courtesy of Salop's better performance with Not To Score selections. StretfordEnd has topped the table for many weeks this season but a dull FA Cup final has seemingly left him too far adrift heading into the final week whilst Cal_BCFC has always been sniffing around top spot but a Venezia goal has cost him a full house and leaves him with much to do next weekend - we've seen stranger things happen in this competition though to be writing those 2 off although they are going have to be brave with their 10 selections next week! Having suffered a few tough weeks, Super_horns is finding form again to fend off the challenge for his 5th spot with an 11th full house of the season whilst I am up to 7th and in with an outside shot of a top 6 finish with another FH, whilst shudewill also jumps a place in the table thanks to his own full house! Worth noting as well that we now have 11 players above the 1000 point mark with TLC giving herself a narrow chance of overturning the deficit she faces to TAFKAP in that battle of FF Towers going all the way. We also welcome Garrincha to the game this week as they enjoy a couple of practice runs in preparation for a full debut season next season and they score well with just their NTS selection stopping a first time full house bonus. Mini-League Series The quickfire Season 7 is up and running and it looks like we are going to head to the wire not just to decide who wins the groups, but also on who wins the overall title. In the Best of the Best group SalopTillIDie is doing what he need to do by topping the group after week 1 and with Cal_BCFC outside of the points, that would be enough to pinch the title. However, Vanni is right there with him and will be equally interested in taking the overall title as well but Cal can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that I am also in touching distance as well and providing Cal can avoid relegation, a group win for me would give Cal a strong chance of taking the title. In the Best of the Rest group, Willy Sagnol and shudewill have a healthy lead over the rest at the top of the group and although neither can impact the overall table, both would settle for a place in the top group for the start of next season, I'm sure! GOS Cup The FA Cup final this weekend didn't quite make centre stage with the GOS Cup final being played out as well. Connor was suited and booted but the suave look didn't transfer into points gained and ultimately it was a resounding victory for........ Yes, it is a second ever cup victory for the GOS legend that is SalopTillIDie to follow on from his Tinpot Shield success in 2019/20 as he becomes the 3rd ever name to appear on this prestigious cup. Congratulations Salop and commiserations to Connor! All of your scores for the week, along with the new table and the latest mini-season tables can now be found below. If you spot an error then just let me know! Navigate the different pages using the tabs at the bottom to check the GOS Cup results, Week 43 Scores or the scores from other weeks. The players are in alphabetical order to give you a clue as to how far you have to scroll right to find your scores and it is still the same in that the league tables include the number of Full Houses (FH), Not To Scores (NTS) and Double Points Selections (DB) you've been successful with as well as your total points. I will use those 3 things (in this order) to determine the outcome of any ties Player of the Month: August - @SalopTillIDie September - @StretfordEnd October - @Vanni November - @Super_horns December - @Vanni January - @Tomohawk February - @Tomohawk March - @Cal_BCFC April - @Daz_Blade May - ???
