József Bozsik - Vieira's supporting cast, with the range of passing to feed Garrincha, who will always play on the last man.

Diego Maradona - Free roaming in midfield, where he regularly received the ball deep and weaved through a team; particularly early career. The main man.

Raymond Kopa - Another versatile attacker, equally adept behind the striker or out wide. Extremely well balanced, Maradona like! Will link well with Meazza.

Garrincha - Playing him in a right forward role, with the flexibility of drifting out wide or cutting inside where he racked up so many career goals.

Thought I would try something a little different.

A very strong defense, which would take something incredible to break down. Not just the fact that my Back 5 and goal keeper are amazing, Roy keane and Bryan robson are absolute workhorses who put there body on the line for the cause.

Heres where it gets interesting with my French Magic Square, industry, bravery and hard work of keane and robson, finesse and creativity with Laudrup and Suarez all four players could easily play in the roles. Those 4 with the added genius of beckenbauer helping to break up and start attacks will be an absolute joy to watch

My width will be provided by one of the best modern attacking full backs in Evra and an attacking gem in Suurbier - Due to the fact I have 3 centre backs and have the workhorse in midfield they will be freely allowed to bomb up and down the line.

Upfront I have Gabriel Batistuta and with all the service available either from crosses through balls or by his own unique ability he will be goal happy.

In goal we have one of the greatest goalkeepers in history with Barcelona legend Andoni Zubizarreta.

Fullbacks Jordi Alba & Gianluca Zambrotta are widely regarded as two of the greatest attacking fullbacks of the modern era.

Lucio & Sami Hyypia are a dominant central defensive pairing who won’t be beaten in the air.

In central midfield Steven Gerrard & Xabi Alonso reform their formidable partnership with undeniable chemistry and flexibility.

Just ahead of them we have an interchanging attacking trident of Ruud Gullit, Eusebio and Socrates that will be very hard to handle.

And finally up front we have the fox in the box...one of the greatest finishers the world has ever seen Gary Lineker.

So Tomohawk FC is based around the perfect mix of defence and attack.

In goal we have one of the greatest ever to grace a football pitch as Shilton offers strength in every department a goalkeeper requires. Not just a world class shot stopper he also possessed anticipation, awareness and strength amongst many other attributes.

My full backs offer a nice mix of hard tacklers who are also extremely pacey whilst my centre halves offer a nice mix of the old fashioned type blocker in Wright and a tough tackler in Koeman who also possessed a passing ability that would rival David Beckham.

Dunga, who is captain, and Edgar Davids offer protection to the back line with both players having the ability to read situations well in advance of them happening, allowing them to easily break up opposing attacks before they become dangerous. Davids also possessed the sort of creative and technical ability you'd expect to see higher up the pitch, making him flexible with regards to where he plays.

In front of these would be Bobby Charlton who is the perfect 'number 10'. His fitness and stamina would see him go on and on and his ability to score goals from all distances makes him a threat anywhere around the opposition penalty area. Out wide on the left is the Welsh Wizard, Ryan Giggs where he would constantly terrorise opposing full backs with his ability to dribble at speed with the ball tight to his foot and from where he can whip crosses in to the number 9. He also possessed the ability to score all sorts of goals from all around the opposition penalty area. Out wide on the right is the tenacious and one in a million ability that is Cristiano Ronaldo. A truly world class player who would be given a free role to be able to drift more centrally when he felt it necessary, Ronaldo has the ability to be scoring a 30 yard screamer one minute and poaching inside the 6 yard box the next. Will score goals with either foot and with his head whilst also showing a tremendous work rate in supporting his team mates whilst defending. Ronaldo would be my free kick and penalty taker.

And finally, we have a true number 9 in Ruud Van Nistlerooy who is up there amongst the most deadly and clinical strikers of all time. A very technical player who can score goals from all around the area, RVN is at his most dangerous inside the final 12 yards where he will thrive on the sort of balls being played into him from the 3 attacking players behind him.

A team full of quality and full of goals with enough resilience and skill in defence to thwart the opposition attack effectively. A team that will not concede many, but will score lots and will entertain it's fans throughout every match [IMG]

I see we are doing write ups...

...this team will be a delight to watch:

Pirlo and Bonucci are relatively modern day players capable of creating play from the back, picking up the ball in deep positions and pinging passes that not many others, even in an all time draft, are capable of. Bonucci is also perfect for the central role in the back three.

Similarly, the wingbacks are two of the greatest attacking full backs of all time. Roberto Carlos needs no write up, Dani Alves has had a great club career and even at the age of 36 is still winning titles.

Defensively, Bonucci and Bergomi are ideal for the positions they play, with the former regularly used in the middle of a back three and the latter being excellent at both right back and centre back. Throw in world cup winner Ruggeri and another Italian great Pagliuca and that is a solid defence.

Joining Pirlo in central midfield is Masopust who was named the second best player at the 1962 world cup as his nation Czechoslovakia reached the final and he went on to win the Ballon d'Or that year.

Another Ballon d'Or winner Rivaldo gets a free role behind the front two. He's versatile, having played as a wing-forward, second striker and attacking midfielder, so the free role will see him popping up all over the place.

With the passing accuracy of Bonucci and Pirlo, the team needed two pacey strikers. Perfect for getting on the end of these passes are number 9 Romario (voted player of the tournament as he won the 1994 world cup and FIFA World Player of the Year in the same year) and number 10 del Piero (who won Serie A footballer of the year in 1998 and 2008). Both legends of the game, Romario is a poacher, complemented by del Piero who, like Rivaldo can play across the front line and will want to drop deeper.

With the full backs also full of pace, Roberto Carlos on corner and free kick duty and Rivaldo making something out of nothing this team will score plenty. Equally, with the three centre backs, it will be solid defensively. The players suit the formation and it is difficult to see any weaknesses in that XI!

    Defense:
    - GOAT-candidate-level goalkeeper
    - One of the best pair of fullbacks in the draft, both possessing world class defending and attacking game
    - Perfectly complimentary partnership between two legendary CBs
    - 3 of the 4 defenders are elite ballplayers so there's no problem building out from the back

    Midfield:
    - Classic sitter/runner combo with 2 of the best ever at their respective role
    - Alfredo Di Stefano is one of the most complete players of all time; helps provide far superior defensive contribution than most no.10s
    - Good positional spread of deep ball-carrier as Busquets play on left-center and Hansen on right-center

    Attack:
    - Ridiculous level of firepower as the front-4 were all top-tier goalscorers
    - Highly fluid front-line as all 4 were comfortable in multiple attacking roles and flourished in free-roaming system
    - Multi-dimensional attack as the front-4 were all accomplished dribblers, chance-creators, and goalscorers. The team is not reliant on any attacker for a particular function, therefore the attack can't be shut down by neutralizing a particular player.

Hard to argue that the spine of this team is incredibly strong.

A perfectly balanced midfield is the shining light of this 11. The ‘water carrier’ ability of Deschamps, mixed with the box-to-box energy of Neeskens and the pure playmaking ability of Zidane makes the midfield unstoppable.

A Spanish duo at centre half of Puyol and Hierro will be unrivalled in the air and a defensive rock. Flanked by the constant energy and tenacity of Neville and Camacho, and the comandeering presence of VDS between the sticks, this defence is sound.

With wingers of Matthews, Pires as well as the service of Neeskens and Zidane, George Weah will be absolutely unplayable. A complete striker, his own goal scoring abilities as well as being able to get the best out of Matthews and Pires on the wing through his prowess and hold up ability will ensure this team is not short on goals.

TLDR; I’m pissing this draft. Good day.

PS- the fullbacks being essentially the same level as the midfielders is not because they are meant to play that high up necessarily, it’s just to see their names lol

    lineup (1).png
    4-3-3

GK - Gilmar. The only GK to play in and win 2 x World Cups.
RB - Gerets. Captain of the only PSV side to their only ever European Cup.
LB - Cabrini. One of only three players to win European Cup, UEFA Cup, Cup-W-Cup and World Cup.
CB - Moore. Englands Captain and leader during the 1966 World Cup.
CB - Kohler. Champions League, World Cup, Euro Champs, League Titles with 3 different teams, the lot.

A top class defence with pace and power at full backs and two world class centre backs, with 2 x WC winner in between the posts.

CDM - Makélélé. So good at what he did they named a position on the field after him.
CM - Effenberg. So good they have his name on the Bayern Munich stadium wall of the greatest 11 Munich players of all time.
CM - Falcão. So good they named him the "King of Rome".

A great trio of creativity and steel. A three man midfield that would boss in the tackle, in the air or on the deck.

LF - Ronaldinho. One of the most naturally gifted footballers ever. His ability to beat an opponent with magic, a feint, a dummy, a touch of genius.......legend.
RF - Rummenigge. Another Bayern Munich legend. 2 x Ballon d'Or winner.
CF - Kocsis. A goalscoring machine. Who even after only 1 WC is still top 6 scorer of all time.

Three absolute beasts up top to feed of the creativity of the midfield.

GK: Lev Yashin - Arguably the best keeper ever.

LB: Fabio Grosso - He won the world cup once like
CB: Sergio Ramos - Sounds a bit mad maybe... but how many other CB's have played a major part in winning a WC and multiple CL's? One of the best defenders ever.
CB: Fabio Cannavaro - Probably the only defender to win the Ballon D'Or
RB: Jimmy Armfield - He's meant to be good I think.

CM: Nobby Stiles - World cup winner. Great ball-winning midfielder too.
CM: Frank Lampard - a great box to box midfielder

    LW: Jairzinho - Enough said.
CAM: Zico - Great player to sit in the hole and bang out passes through to the other 3 attackers.
RW: Francisco Gento - don't remember much about him. Must've been quite good if I decided to pick him.

ST: Johan Cryuff - Like Jairzinho and Zico Cryuff adds even more unpredictability and fluidity to the attack. He can pop up anywhere on the pitch.

Tactically up front I'd have Zico in the hole, Gento on the wing whilst Jairzinho and Cryuff have free roam to do what they want.
