    Hello all.

I have a feeling I may already know some people over here as I've been posting on football forums since time began.

I'm originally from Birmingham and support the blue half of the city, although I've lived in Thailand for almost three years now and have adopted my local team, Chiang Mai FC. They got promoted last season and will this year be playing in the Thai national 1st Division, which kicks off anew in two weeks' time.

    Looking forward to posting..

For me, Chiang Mai and it's province is the jewel in the Thai crown. I lived on the island of Koh Samui for a year and a half and while it is a paradise island it's also now the capital of Russia and the east coast is a wreck with all the tourists trying to find an unspoilt part of the beach..

I went to Thailand in 2011 and I loved Chiang Mai. I would love to go back.

Lady boys are everywhere here; in the supermarket, shops, eateries, everywhere. At first I wasn't that good at spotting them because some of the toms are very good but now I've been here a while my radar is more sensitive (leave it).

There's a bar not far from where I live where quite a few hang out, it's called 'The Adams Apple'..

It is difficult at first to spot them, and you can't stare either

The Adams Apple bar...a very apt name. Probably the only way you can tell from first glance whether they are lady boys or not.

I didn't see any in Phuket (Nai Yang area) but did in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

I would return to Chiang Mai to tomorrow, if I could. I wasn't keen on going to Doi Suthep as it was a winding taxi ride up, but so glad I did. It was amazing.

Thailand is a beautiful country, especially the north where it's mountainous and the views are spectacular. Next time you're here, CF, try to get to Mae Salong near the Burmese border. It's right up in the mountains and is a huge tea plantation, loads of places to stay and eat and the hill tribe people try and sell you anything - and I mean anything.
It's not far from Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai so public transport is easy. Have I sold it yet?

It doesn't take much to sell Thailand to me. Sold!
