If Zaha isn’t playing. 2-0 Town
If Zaha is playing. Injure him and it will finish 2-0 Town.
    Prediction 2-0 Palace.

Hope Mike Dean's in charge again. He actually wised up to it last season and reffed the game fairly.

Huddersfield away was arguably our most complete performance last term. I don't think we conceded a shot on goal until the 81st minute or something daft. I'll be amazed if we have it as easy this time around though.

As a few have said on our last match thread Benteke needs to be dropped and we need to go with Townsend/Ayew alongside Zaha up front. It worked a treat last season.

Max Meyer absolutely has to start ahead of Schlupp as well.

Apparently VAR is being used in this game?

It's being tested 'behind the scenes' but not actually being used to affect the game.

You can already see what's going to happen. The ref will get a major, match-defining decision wrong, the technology will all be in place, all the video assistants will agree it should be changed, but it can't be.

F*cking stupid idea. Just use it properly or not at all.

He's pulled out of the Belgium squad injured so Roy may not have a choice.

Definitely think we should go with Zaha and Townsend/Ayew up front regardless.

Palace need 3 points here. They are too good to drop points against the teams at the bottom and this is their chance to show it.

The positivity from the Fulham win has gone now with the last 3 games and all that's gone on off the pitch, think we really need to get back to winning ways here. Apparently Wilf will be back and of course it'd be a massive shame if Benteke had to miss out... For me there's no excuses not to put Meyer in and I'd consider Kouyate as well after how well he did v Saints. 4-3-3 with Sorloth given a run of games to show what he can do with a bit of faith put in him

If Wilf's back it increases our chances tenfold, however having Tomkins back is almost if not as important.

Must get a result otherwise it's been a really poor start.

Zaha, Tomkins and AWB all in training today. Thank fook.

Benteke injured and not in contention. Thank fook.

Wilf and Townsend up front please, although I reckon Roy will go with Sorloth or Ayew.

WE could do with a point or three tomorrow! Zaha is an obvious threat but Palace are a decent side anyway and in Roy Hodgson they have a very experienced manager. I expect it to be a very tough match but certainly one where if we gel and put in the sort of commitment we showed in the first half against Chelsea and at Everton last time out, we can get something. Here's hoping! :D

Zaha only returned to training yesterday as he was injured, I don't know if he'll start!

    Don’t worry we’ll injure him

Considering he's been training the past couple of days I'll be amazed if he doesn't start.

    Hennessey
    AWB Tomkins Sakho PVA
    McArthur Milivojevic Kouyate Meyer
    Townsend Zaha

I agree with your lineup, but I can see the midfield being four across, with Jimmy Mac out wide along with Meyer, Kouyate in the middle to get the ball from Luka and burst forward with it.

I must've changed it just as you quoted it because your quote makes no sense now

Think it'll be a narrow four as normal but Meyer will get forward and link up with Wilf like he did in the final 20 minutes at Watford.

Huddersfield struggled to deal with our pace on the break last season so I'd like to see Wilf, Andros and Meyer all linking up and running at them from the off.

How solid we are at the back completely depends on whether Tomkins is fit or not. If both him and Zaha start I do fancy our chances.

Lawrenson predicted yet another loss for us. What a surprise. Since we got promoted he’s never predicted a win for us. Stupid vagina.

You are one of the worst teams in the league so you will be expected to lose a lot of games :shrug

Yeah, it had a different formation. I agree with what you've edited though.
