Lets say the financial cost of covid killed off your team (regardless if you support someone as financially okay as man city or some team in league 2 who makes every penny count) which team would start to follow or pay attention to abit more.

It could be as simple as i wouldnt follow any other team but id keep interest in the sport or i would follow/support [BLANK] as my dad supported them or have a soft side etc blah blah.

If it happened to my team (Bolton) and we nearly did go out of business. I would probably follow Bournemouth, as in my military career i spent many years in and around the town, pretty much lived there for a few years and have a soft side for the place.

    what would be yours?
(this is just for fun btw)

Not the best choice of words for the title John

In all seriousness though, I dont think I'd bother. I'd just follow football without any sort of affiliation

This. I'm too old to full time change allegiance now. I'd probably just watch football on TV and maybe get into following the England team. Do the odd match at Wembley, try to get into the following abroad thing and apply for tournament tickets etc. But that would just be a hobby and not a full time thing like watching Stoke.

    I’d go non-league. Maidenhead United.

Yeah, I’d go non-league too. Already been to a few Worthing games and plan to go to a lot more once we’re allowed. Sadly looks like they could end the season top for a second season without getting promoted due to Covid currently though.

If not them then I wouldn’t bother, might keep an eye out for Chelsea as my dad has been a STH since way before I was born and took me to a couple of games when I was little.

I spent most of my life living closer to Maidenhead, and I’ve never really liked ST.

Sleaford Town, i do watch them a bit and they're not great, but they have a nice clubhouse you can watch the game from.
