Yeah, it was when everything was so simple and basic, without the saturation of information and coverage these days. The good old days hey.

The problem with the current media especially the likes that the working class read is that it's bollocks.

The problem with the media the middle class read is that it's self defeating and pessimistic. We can't be proud of our past because even though none of us existed in the ball bags of our fathers we're all atrocious human beings.

The UK has and will continue to have a strong influence in Music, Fashion, Art, Engineering and Science. We're not worthless.

The mentality we have as a country goes back thousands of years. We're stubborn, hard to control and a bit annoying to those who want us to fall in line. It exactly mirrors how we are now....... It doesn't mean we'll always be right and make the right choices. But it's who we are and throughout the last 400 years we've been okay, we'll continue to be okay and in my opinion the best thing we could do as a small island nation is disappear into the background and let everyone else fight it out whilst we have our input, give our best but stop trying to rule the world. The internet has f*cked that front.

it very much looks like the union is finished. Brexit has proven that united kingdom is a boy band you have that one good singer (england) in front and his backup singer behind him.

Scotland will go again for their referendum and doubt they will fail this time.

And with northern ireland being dictate by one small spot of the country a referendum for united ireland is close too.

Oh they will mate, they will. Sturgeon is faltering like a wayward, over blown balloon and the country is now recognising that she has no interest in attempting to fix their (SNP's) failings. All she is promoting is a separatists wet dream. Unfortunately for her and her arse lickers it will be a premature ejaculation!

oh is she?? i dont follow too much. tbh it did look like first time around it was pretty much like brexit where no one really knew what they were voting.

I am an irishman and only plus seems to be that we are closer to united ireland than ever but wont happen in my lifetime
