Evans is a quality defender, we shouldn't have sold him. Tested at the highest level. I'm sure Brom fans will testify to how good he is.

Dunno why but it reminds me of Pontus the slack jawed yokel (Simpson's reference) so fits in perfectly at Watford :whistle

Everton linked with Theo Walcott. His contract is up in 2019.

£15-20m I'd take. He's completely ill suited to our wingback formation and just isn't playing. It would be great if we could fleece Everton for more...and we get his big wages off the books.

Yeah think he is open to move though he is behind Solanke in the pecking order and is way too good to play u23s all season.

Saints should try and get Walcott back. He knows the club well and they've been missing a pacy forward since Shane Long left.

I'd love him here if he could stay fit for five minutes. He'd be great competition for our Zaha/Benteke/Townsend frontline and Roy obviously knows him from England. Six month loan deal would be ideal, especially as he'd want to impress before the World Cup.

Oh yeah, WTF am I on about? Had it in my head that he left Saints for WBA but it was the other way around (via Hull).

Glad I'm going on holiday tomorrow.

Personally if I had a choice between Walcott and Ings it would be the latter for me.

When's the last time Ings played a PL game though?

Don't get me wrong, Walcott's hardly the epitome of fitness, but Ings seems to have been continuously out for years now.

Yeah he's had two major knee injuries in two years, Walcott is the better option if it's an all out signing, Ings perhaps on a loan.

I think clubs would have him if his wages weren't so high. We're probably demanding a lot too but this is a player capable of scoring 15 goals over the course of a season.

End product is king, if we can get what could rise to £40m for OxCham who has shite end product, Walcott should easily fetch £25m. Especially in this stupid bizarre market.

He's pretty much been fit for a good 18 months now. He stays relatively fit. Apart from that knee injury in 2014, he's played his fair share of games this decade. If we ignore the two seasons where that knee injury kept him out for basically a calendar year, he averages about 40 appearances a season.

A loan would definitely make sense for anyone....Theo's never played at the World Cup and if he is serious about that ambition, he'd get his arse out on loan.

I'd take Ings on loan tbf. Think he'd do really well with Pereyra, Richarlison, Hughes, Chalobah, Doucoure etc behind him. A lot of players who could give him some good service.
