Seems really odd. Not so much the sacking itself, but the appointment of QSF who by all means was regarded by Watford fans to have deserved the sack.

Feel for Javi but most managers are sacked after a bad run which lasts 20 games or so tbh.

Probably hasn't helped we've lost to some teams we might expect to beat...

Ofcouse the players should take aome of the blame but you cannot sack them ..

Sure some owners would love to !

Flores also started well but his season tailed off and he clearly wanted to leave so guess they must have made up?

He did make us defensively solid which we have missed - but we do need to get better out of our attack .

I can’t believe Watford have sacked him. He kept them in the Premier League and took them to an FA Cup final. What more do they expect? He’s only been sacked because of Racism IMO etc.

I think that’s half the problem, Watford seem to have a higher opinion of themselves than anyone else does.

There’s only a handful of teams who can might expect to beat other teams.

The team itself seems reminiscent of Stoke a year or two before they got relegated. Need to change thing quickly imo.

Nah we dont. But to have 1 point out of Brighton, West Ham, Newcastle and Everton isn't great when you consider we have Arsenal City and Wolves next

Fair point but 6 goals given away in 2 home games isn't a good look...

Hasn't helped that the defence isn't improved from when we went up!

I'm still a bit torn by it all.

What is more concerning for me is that this season has just been a bit 'meh' from my point of view. I'm not annoyed we're last and I haven't really been bothered to argue our owners case as much as I have done in the past.

I feel like I am losing interest but cant quite work out why.

When Palace finished mid-table and reached an FA Cup final my interest decreased massively. For both clubs, thats about as good as we'll ever get without substantial financial backing so I feel theres much not more to keep an interest in.

A relegation will reignite my interest, I reckon. That's just assuming you're in the same boat as me also.

I felt a similar way with us in the division, especially when we were accumulating more and more players who we were just another club for a couple of years for on their way to generally mediocre careers.

I wasn't too bothered about us in the last few seasons in the Prem where we didn't seem to be going anywhere, even though we had some decent results and league finishes.

Us going down has rejuvenated things massively, and there's now a sense of affinity towards the players that just wasn't there before as it's allowed lots of players from our academy to make the step up.

I have no doubt that we'll find ourselves back down there before we reach our 10th consecutive PL season (7 at the mo).

It just seems to be the natural cycle for most clubs outside the top six (plus Everton).

As a fan who goes to a decent amount of away games I've always said I prefer the Championship. The away days are more interesting and there are obviously more matches. Most Prem away days are a bit sterile now (and it gets boring visiting the same grounds over and over). Unless you do a Wolves and challenge for Europe, or reach a cup final (which we've already done) there's not lot a lot to get excited about. We've already beaten all of the top six (most of them away as well), so we don't even have that to tick off now.

People will say 'What sort of fan wants to see their team relegated?', but if you know, you know...

Usually when you see the vote of confidence stating that the manager will be given time, that is like a clue in the wall that it's coming, regardless.

Your generally able to decide on the day of an away game as well, rather than having to be organised a couple of months in advance. But yeah your right, when we were in the Prem there's only three new teams to the division and chances are they'd be sides you've been to in the Prem anyway.

In the Championship you've got six new sides a season, I've been to Luton already but it's still a team we've not played in over a decade, Charlton similar.

The best you can hope for is Europe, which we achieved, and it was brilliant, but it's not realistic to maintain that level as most clubs of our size aren't going to get a Michael Laudrup to take them there.

Another year, another Watford manager. But then again.. are Watford running out of managers seeing as they've gone back to QSF?

Perhaps Mazzarri will be back next season then.

Now he defiantly wasn't popular with fans or players!

I half wonder if the Pozzos thought they had made a mistake letting Flores break his contract and actually wanted him to stay the first time.
