Let's give this a go then to see how much interest such a thread gets to see if we can breathe some life into the lower league sections. If it attracts a decent amount of discussion then I'll happily do this weekly unless an actual L2 fan wants to take over the reigns

The fixtures for this coming Saturday are as follows:

    (20) Cambridge vs Port Vale (19)
    (5) Carlisle vs Exeter (7) - link to match thread
    (8) Colchester vs Cheltenham (18)
    (17) Crawley vs Oldham (15)
    (4) Forest Green vs Notts County (24)
    (1) Lincoln City vs Northampton (16)
    (23) Macclesfield vs Crewe (11)
    (6) MK Dons vs Swindon (13)
    (22) Morecambe vs Bury (3)
    (14) Newport vs Mansfield (2)
    (10) Tranmere vs Stevenage (9)
    (21) Yeovil vs Grimsby (12)

Pre-match league positions are in brackets.
Any fixtures in bold have a thread to themselves. Click on the link next to the fixture to be taken to the relevant match thread.

If you're club is not as big as Carlisle and can't afford it's own match thread, then discuss all things relating to this weekend's games here

Not sure on that one. Pretty sure Crewe have been in a bit of form recently.

Some interesting fixtures in L2 this weekend though. Can't believe at the state of the bottom end of the table, wasn't that long ago that Yeovil were in the Championship was it?

You can lump your mortgage on Newport losing at the weekend. Always how it works after a big performance in the cup*

*I have no data to back this up whatsoever.

We need a win against Morecambe ideally, we weren't very good against Crawley and maybe in hindsight it would have been good for it to have been called off.

Morecambe looked okay when they came to Gigg earlier in the season and I thought they would finish midtable but obviously that hasn't happened.

Any kind of win would do.

Based on Yeovil form I'd be disappointed if we don't win there, but this is the type of game we are more likely to lose this season.

I think we might get something at Col U - their form hasn't been great and it would be nice to get one over Harry Pell after his antics (which we loved when he played for us) in the return fixture earlier this season.

We also won 4-1 there last season with a much worse team.

We’ve never won at Yeovil albeit we’ve only played there 3 times. Given their poor form it’s a game we should be looking at winning but I don’t expect to, I expect a 0-0 bore draw or a narrow defeat.

We did a vote on 1ff a few years ago whether to have individual match threads or an all in one like this one. The all in one thread won but the vote just got ignored so in the end Carver/Mysteriouscurle/redfox had to start a general thread for other games. If there’s gonna be a thread like this with all the games each week I’ll definitely be posting in it and I reckon it’ll be a winner.

Hoping Newport have an after lord mayor's show performance Saturday after their victory in the cup. Will be a tough game on that pitch (if you could call it that).

I call it a plough field, I'm sure they share it with two rugby clubs.

Didn't they pump someone 4-0 away from home last week though? Maybe not an ideal time to play them

Are there any Grismby fans who remember Paul Wilkinson?
