I posted in the wrong thread:fail:

We've announced a new shirt sponsor for next season

ED SHEERAN IS NEW SHIRT SPONSOR

Essentially just a donation to the team he supports I guess. Might do a little to help with the new owners promoting us in the US and possibly concerts at Portman Road on the cards when things like that can start taking place again.

If even a few of his global fans buy Town shirts then it’ll be a good few quid for us. Top bloke.

It’s got the publicity intended, the announcement is everywhere

Posh announce their retained list tomorrow which seems weird with a game still left to play .

Fergie has stated he'll play a load of the kids but they're not there to muck about .

Donny 11/4 betfair for the win .

Wellens starting to look like the favourite for our job, he's in the final 3/4. Decision and appointment late next week.

Sounds like that’s him going to be appointed then. He didn’t do badly at Swindon, but was a bit of a let down with Salford surprisingly.

Yeah, I'm not completely against the idea as when you look at the alternatives I'd much prefer his style over Boothroyd, Mellon or Parkinson. I doubt he'll be getting sacked here for not being direct enough like at Salford!

Have Boothroyd and Parkinson been linked? I hope they’re appointed because I doubt you’d be any threat promotion-wise :D

Both been mentioned but we've got a guy on our forum who speaks to the board and he's hinted at neither of them being in contention, so that's good news.

So other than today the play offs & upcoming Euro's it's twizzling the fingers for next couple of months with no Saturday / Sunday or midweek club matches to get excited about .

Here's hoping as fans come August we can get back to what Saturday's are all about & watch some ' LIVE ' action & hope financially all clubs survive !

I was considering waiting until the riff-raff had moved out but on balance thought it worthwhile to keep the interest going beyond the cursed 4 who have to suffer the play-offs.

Not worth a new thread but hello playmates.

There'll only be a few more new grounds for me than if we'd stayed put in L2 but I'm already looking forward to us crossing swords with some of the EFL's BIG clubs. A trip to Sheffield has to be high on the priorities. Otherwise a couple of days in the Big City will be welcome. Hopefully Charlton and a chance to see the new gaff at Plough Lane will be Saturday fixtures. Any other BBBs* deserve my attention?

Not looking forward to MK, Gillingham or Wycombe (again) - any redeeming features to suggest?

Fleetwood and Plymouth (again) look bound to be mid-week so perhaps we'll have to make them our first overnighters since the lockdown.

Scott Golbourne has announced he is retiring on Instagram, rather ironic since he basically announced he was the root cause of all our Covid troubles on there too.

Fair play to Donny fans giving Fergie a good round of applause when team coach arrived , very classy

Only 3 first teamers in today's squad but looks very attack minded , have a strange feeling 1 or 2 ( Mason excluded ) may end up on loan at The Keepmoat next season , still tipping a Donny win & guard of honour for Copps .

Ignorant bastards at Sky playing fake crowd noise at Portsmouth when the players were observing a minutes silence for a former player.

Fitting that Copps last game was against one of his former managers. Someone who didn't have a history with him might not have wanted their team to join in the Guard of Honour. Well played Fergie.

Time for an emotional but pointless game! Hopefully Copps scores, a hat trick gets him to a hundred career goals.

What's the story with Coppinger and how long he's been at Donny?

Is it just a case of he settled there and loved it and never looked to leave? Or did his ability tend to mirror the leagues you've been in so he's never really be in line for a move? I just looked at his stats, seems like he could keep playing! What a fantastic career, must be so strange for him to think about retirement.
