Since SOD came in he's been a top League One/bottom half Championship player. He's had opportunities to move, such as when Ipswich came in for him and Sharp IIRC but they never met our valuation and he wasn't desperate to leave. He did move on loan to Forest when we came down from the Championship but came back in Jan after SOD got sacked and then scored the title winning goal. I think overall he's been happy here and not looked to move on despite a few chances as he's seen the grass isn't greener.

Have to say that Fleetwood were terrible first half, but yes. Typical Town to discover some form when it’s all too late.

One defeat in 15 games and still don't make the playoffs :( A missed penalty a few games ago was the decider.

Pipped by an ex manager too!

Who will win them? - seems pretty tight.

Season is 46 games not 1 penalty .

Think this League will be a lot tougher next season & hopefully fans will be allowed back with no 3rd wave , you'll be up there again & Adkins can put his own stamp on the team .
Hoping Lincoln win it beating Oxford in the final , easier away days but I reckon it'll be Blackpool.

I agree but the missed penalty was against Oxford in the last minute, a team who have just pipped us on goal difference unless Lamby is talking about the one against posh which isn’t even close to the reason we’ve missed out. The Oxford penalty miss and allowing Crewe a 96th minute equaliser the other week are.

Unlucky Addick, you got Nigel Adkins too late, I'm sure you will be right up there next season.

Hoping for Lincoln or Oxford up through the playoffs for something different now

I hope so, we’ve certainly got cause for optimism which we’ve not had for a while.

Looking forward to the summer now, the team is going to look completely different come August.

Going to be even tougher next season though I think so I’d quite like to see Sunderland win the play-offs.

Absolutely shameful performance again, I’m genuinely gutted that after all the good players and teams James Coppinger has been a part of at Rovers, this is the team that he bows out with

I can’t put into words what a terrific player he has been for us. For the last 17 years I’ve watched him grow and grow and be a key part of some of the most special moments in Rovers history. I’ll never forget the hattrick against southend, that was one of the most complete performances I’ve ever seen at this level from any player. To still be such a key player for us at the age of 40 is testament to how well he keeps himself mentally and physically fit. He’s a true icon of the town and I’m so glad that he’s been offered a role within the club working with having a successful mentality. Thanks for the memories Copps

With regards to the season, I’m so glad that is over. 2nd worst team in the league in the second half of the season and we have just been truly abysmal. The squad needs gutting from top to bottom. Keep Jones, Horton, Greaves, Blythe, Anderson, James and Okenabirhie but honestly I wouldn’t care if every other player left. Hopefully we get our managerial appointment right and we can build for the long term

Anyone got the final league table? Did Doncaster win on PPG?

67 goals in 607 games is quite a poor return tbh.

Looking forward to the, erm, A14(?) derby. Perhaps we can dig up some 30 year old grudges to add some interest?

    If you like, hahah.
Just looking forward to it, not getting ahead of ourselves, we go in as a small team, nothing to lose.
