Jackson is caretaker and has been told he’s gonna have a fair crack at it.

Oh it won’t make any difference for Saturday, this is just the first step of many that needed to be taken.

Yep, we raped the arsehole out of this division with Powell as manager in 2012.

2 steps forward and 1 step back at the moment. Never quite know what you’re going to get. We have improved although we never deal well with sides like yourselves, so who knows. I think the game being at your place will be better for us at the moment than an edgy Portman Road.

Surprised by how poorly Adkins has done this season at Charlton. Ended last season on a high enough note.

I don't think he fancies a relegation from League Two on his CV just yet.

As I've said before Adkins is a complete feast or famine manager. Even then I wouldn't have expected it to go this badly!

Giving Jackson a shot seems fair, any success Charlton tended to have has been from promoting within or appointing someone with heavy connections to the club.

You’re not wrong, every promotion in my lifetime has been with a Charlton man in charge. We do always get behind one of our own and it often seems to just work, hoping for the same here.

Everyone will be fully behind him and he’ll get a good shot at it I expect.

Some of his comments earlier were interesting, about having his own style and what we’ve been doing “clearly wasn’t working”, so I’m reassured by the fact that it seems he didn’t fully believe in what Adkins was doing.

How can anyone watch Wycombe week in week out especially on their travels?
The term anti-football could have been written for them. Players going (&staying) down for the softest of challenges, ages taken for free kicks & goal kicks etc, they are very very good at what they do & officials seem to lap this up.

Sadly, pretty much every team you see have got a couple of players that love to fall over and roll around. (yes we have a couple who can "buy" soft free kicks)

Many start wasting time from the first half these days but Wycombe do take it all to the next level.

    Thing is, it works.
It stops the opposition getting any momentum, the other night we only managed to get at them for brief periods, then there was another faked injury, trainer on, treatment, and the game disrupted.

Wycombe are very good at it, it works for them because they are on course for another promotion and who can blame them for sticking to a system that's working so well for them.

It's up to referees to see it for what it really is, cheating.
For some reason they seem oblivious to it, the home crowd get on their backs and that seems to make the referee even worse.

Don't blame Wycombe, blame the authorities, it's up to them to see through it.

Anyone know how rigorous/lax MK Dons stewards like to be with their application of the policy they've posted for ticket sales?

"Reserved seating will be enforced "

Whilst I and mates like to stand without causing hassle to kids or folk who need to be able to see whilst seated, we also like to get a reasonable distance from our rowdier youth and occasional drum. It's a hassle buying seats together and normal practice for all our matches since the lockdown has been "We sit where we want."

I presume our Rotherham brethren will find out tomorrow but Portsmouth, Sunderland and Charlton must have taken a few already.

I’ve deduced that I’m going to have to back the opposing team every game from now on because the three occasions I’ve done so this season we’ve actually got a result

A terrible half of football from both sides with zero end product.

@Addick By Nature hope you’re warm up in the gods :D

Well that was an awful match. It was only going to take a single goal but Charlton probably just about deserved to win. Horrible, scrappy, no end product.

    A bad day all round.

Good win for us that. We were the better team for the first 60 mins then Alfie May came on and our defenders struggled with his mobility. They got a few corners at the end too, which were shit at defending, we conceded from one of them and I was pooing it every time they got another.
