Discussion in 'EFL League One' started by PhilJack, Mar 18, 2007.
Indeed. Officials were rubbish, they got away with murder but that’s no excuse.
The takeover of our club has been completed after the vote of trust members last night American Lawyer Rob Couhig needed 75% of members to vote for it and it got voted through easily and i was one who voted for it online. The best part of the deal is he'll become chairman and replaces Trevor Stroud who was f*cking useless and the mew owners will not own Adams Park which they said all along they wouldn't insist on that.
The Couhig's used to own Derby and left them in a great financial position it was the next owners who put them in the shit.
Great news Mowgli, exciting time for the Chairboys!
It sure is mate and you'll be the next League 1 club to have new American owners won't you? I hope it all goes through mate but we both know it won't be done overnight as our takeover took 3 months of discussions, you can't blame us for being cautious as our previous owner to The Trust Steve Hayes left us £6,000,000 in debt It took The Trust 5 years to get us to break even after selling players and FA Cup runs.
Fingers crossed. Our investment has been on and off according to the tabloids, but the local rags sent out an exclusive last week that the investment should be finalised this week fingers crossed.
It’s taking forever, but with clubs earning as much as they do I suppose they have to do their full due diligence.
Yay , it's Saturday
Looking forward to the game this afternoon, as a Posh fan from tomorrow it all goes downhill because the clocks go back .
We generally start seasons well & the culmination of the above & when the orange ball appears sees us go backwards , not sure why.
Along with Donny , Cov were one of the best teams to visit London Road last season , there fans ( have rightly so ) boycotted travelling in their numbers for the game , £26 is a rip off , I agree with them for 3rd tier football although around 1,500 still making the trip , ( IF the match is ON ) it's been lashing down all night , we could have some casualties today , hold them accas.
4 trebles & 4 fold.
Enjoy the weekend folks
Tough 3 fixtures coming up starting with today:
Tranmere v Doncaster postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Lincoln v Bolton postponed as well.
Another team scared of playing us
Looks like you’ll get that run off to a good start
That's better, didn't sound like a very good performance but 3 points and Norwood back on the scoresheet for the first time in a while.
Another great win this time 1-0 at Rotherham which takes us back up to 2nd
Fantastic stuff, was well resigned to a defeat especially when I saw your team sheet. We were well in that game, fairly even for the first 70 mins perhaps you were shading it until you piled the pressure on and O’Leary made some fantastic saves. Surprised at how quiet the Sunderland fans were...
Donald Love sends his condolences x
Must be mad being a football fan .
Don't you just love missing last minute equalisers !
Deserved f*ck all out of that , other than pneumonia , I'm soaked & like many left early.
Only my 5th match today , Cov & Donny like last year play some very nice football , we have some great individual players but when they have an off day , boy do they have an off day .
Ah well , Stevenage away in the Cup my next , priority tickets , I have to wait until Wednesday earliest .
Are @ITFC Jez and @fblockrob about this evening?
Confident of surviving relegation yet Mowgs?
Yeah well done and all that, but the Donald Love stuff is so small time.
Apparently - and I didn’t watch the game - we were hard done by, but the only thing that matters is we lost. Again.
He's a cut above League One I reckon.
Bloke was pulling off miracles in the Championship last season, only thing holding him back is consistency
18 points above the relegation spots after a 1/3 of the season gone i think so mate
Not a bad month for us after Ipswich away was postoned with beating Sunderland at Adams Park, drawing at Blackpool and winning at Rotherham.
