Does he get a new medallion for winning MOTM? Bet there's a few more of those top buttons undone for his day out at Wembley
I just have a very twitchy self righteousness radar. Saying that I'm boycotting the World Cup by not watching a minute of it, so that will be levelled at me But there needs to be a line in the sand (no pun intended..)
They’ve been class in fairness, but I don’t think some of their fans are happy as we are now taking the upper tier above them.
I hardly dare ask for fear of been accused of bragging we're massive, but what are the allocations for both teams?
They’re already doing that. A load of our fans are in the upper tiers above Wycombe fans, which I don’t think they’re best pleased with.
Makes sense. I remember Stoke getting more than half the ground at the old Wembley in the Autoglass Trophy final against Stockport in th early 90s. It can be a blessing and a curse. Make a good start and the atmosphere from 50,000 plus Mackems could carry you through. But make a slow start and things get nervy and it could have the opposite effect. The pressure will be enormous and a huge following can sometimes make that worse.
Will be interesting to see if Wycombe, EFL and FA would rather have 20,000 empty seats, or 20,000 extra Sunderland fans in attendance. Given how Inept/corrupt all three organisations are, they’d probably prefer the former!
Wycombe have already agreed to allow you to have more tickets- what is the problem? Well done on selling out but it's a neutral venue game, Wycombe have every right to not want it to feel like an away match
Wow , 5,000 real fans & 15,000 day trippers , every club has them . We had moaning Posh fans complaining that they couldn't get a ticket for the home FA Cup match v Man City despite not going to a single game since 2018 .
There is no problem. I can see why the club are asking for more, as it’s simply a case of demand. I do think the ~20k empty seats should be used, but I can appreciate Wycombe wanting to say no.
Whatever happens on Saturday i'm proud that we've made the play off final which is an incredible achievement for a club of our size, 3 play off finals under Ainsworth since 2015 is some record. I hope any fans from either side don't embarrass themselves after the final whistle as we've seen recently who have let their clubs down. Also i hope Sunderland fans have a safe journey down and going home and may the best team on the day get promoted. It's Akinfenwa's last game for us as he hit 40 last week and is retiring we'll miss him but it would be a superb ending if he scores the winner. Come on The Chairboys!!
07:10 train from Donny I am Saturday Just like Donny V Leeds, promotion is won on the pitch not on attendances
