In fairness mate, if you've got a choice between Kane and Vardy it's a no brainer.

but that's the thing it wasn't a choice between Kane and Vardy it was a choice between Sterling and Vardy, as a striker, that too is a no brainer but Southgate went the other way

I bet that Kane will be fit by then. The opening semi-final game against a reborn Netherlands is very important and he just can't miss it.

But, I agree with Jimmy Skirtz. If Kane is not available, then Vardy should be given a chance. He is still young and able to play at top level. Remember how he won the Premier League with Leicester (1st time in the club's history) almost single handedly. He scores 15+ goals every season in the Premier League as well. He is very underrated.

If his passion for Leicester was not that great, he could be easily shining in a big European club, like Man City or even Barcelona right now. He is just one of the most loyal players like Messi and Totti.

its nothing to do with his passion for Leicester, if he were 27 instead of 31 someone would be offering us around £100m for him this summer

What? He is 31?? Thought he was as old as Kane is...:bounce:

Also, he is undoubtedly not worth as much as Ronaldo, but Bayern Munich or Real Madrid could have offered 75m to say the least.

Not much of a break for the Liverpool lads picked as the CL final is the 1st June.

Tbh I couldn’t think of anybody that’s not a Liverpool, Spurs or currently injured player.

    Hamza won’t get called up.

Ok he’ll do. Don’t know why I drew a blank on him. Was thinking there’s somebody at West Ham, and somehow ended up settling for Mark fking Noble.

True. Guess 4 of your top 6 teams being in European finals is not that helpful for your campaign in UEFA Nations League. Still think it is comming home!

I think you've got to leave them behind and experiment a little. There's still some good players that are non Chelsea/Liverpool/Spurs available.

the team Jim picked, but with Rice in not Noble would be good enough, if Southgate could convince Vardy to play again it would be better though
