ALF is a good signing, knows where the net is, was a class apart when we had him, his goals probably kept us up season before last, would have loved him back.
As it goes, I think you've only two relegation places to avoid, reckon T'Rooovers have one sewn up, certainly if they keep that bloody clown in charge.

The Iron have signed Lincoln City striker Jonathon Margetts for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old pens a two-year deal with the club and becomes our third addition of transfer deadline day, joining loan acquisitions Harry Toffolo (from Norwich) and Richie Smallwood (from Rotherham).

3 decent signings for us today.

Be interesting where PP plays Thorpe for you. Barely got a game at all for us and when he did it was centre midfield where he was nowhere near good enough. Supposedly a decent centre half.

Henry is too good for League One but not good enough for where we want to be in the Championship. Wish him well.

After the TW I'd say our strongest team when fully fit is

    Doyle
    Darby Kilgallon NKP Meredith
    Law Vincelot Cullen Marshall
    Vuckic Clarke

Then there's McArdle, McMahon, Devine, Morais, Dieng, Hanson, Hiwula & McNulty more than capable of fitting in. Very very good squad and I'm excited for the season now.

Ex Newcastle right back Ryan Taylor signs for Vale on a short term deal.

Chuffed if he can stay fit!

Nathan Clarke rejoins Slade at Cov. He's too good to be sat on our bench, he was probably on a decent wage and Coventry need defenders so it's perfect for both clubs and player tbf.

Centre half Toto Nsiala signed from Hartlepool for 25k on a 2 1/2 yr deal. Due to banking rules and regs the money didnt appear in Hartlepool's account so he couldn't play yesterday.
His disciplinary record means he should fit right in but Hurst has worked with him before and tbh he could do no worse than Adam El-Abd.
Ivan Toney expected to go back to Newcastle and then go out again on loan. Hurst less than complimentary about him yesterday saying it was the players decision and that he had made his mind up a few games ago which makes me wonder why he was playing.
    I'm expecting a busy January

As per usual, we've done absolutely nothing so far apart from send a couple of loanees back.
Most of the clubs around us are strengthening their squad and yet we just sitting on our arse.
