A cracking win against L1 opposition with James Wilson bagging a hat trick in a 5-1 win. Sets us up nicely for the Bradford game.

Congrats also to Buxton FC who have reached round 2 for the first time.

Fairly dreadful and turgid stuff at Brunton Park. A couple of second half goals spare our blushes but at no point did we look in control and I'm struggling to see what Keith Millen has done, I know it's early to judge, but the change in style when Skelton took over from Beech was more noticeable. If anything we've gone more long ball again.

Genuinely would've rather we lost than a draw. Ho-hum.

In hindsight I guess a draw isn't too bad. It's at home so the extra game isn't at least travelling and the fixtures haven't been too heavy so far. It also means the odious Derek Adams has to travel all the way down to exeter on a Tuesday night which is a win.

Wow FGR out at St.Albans - I didn't see that coming, but a well deserved win by the non-leaguers

FGR don't look the same team without Matt up front, I think any long term injury would see them plummet from the top.

Crap draw. Northampton are our bogey team so please Cambridge. Not that it's that exciting either. Come on Bradford. Do us at SJP.

I have just had a look at how we compare now to where we have been in the table after 15 league games under MT's previous seasons as manager. they are remarkably similar.

After 15 games with MT as manager
    21/22 - 4th Position - 5 points from top
    20/21 - 3rd Position - 3 points from top
    19/20 - 6th Position - 4 points from top
    18/19 - 3rd Position - 4 points from top

Notoriously strong starters but fade away after Xmas and struggle to get over the finishing line. Here's hoping that a stronger squad with much more depth and an improved home pitch can see us good this year.

It was the most obvious result I think I could ever have predicted. Gutted I didn't lump on it... I think all four teams involved in our 2nd round draw are hoping they lose the replays

Big game for us tomorrow. Vale away live on Sky. I'm not expected anything with the run they're on but a 0-1 Theo Robinson last minute winner seems to be expected by 95% of Vale fans on Twitter :pray

Good turn out from Bradford for a 12 o'clock kick off & looking the more likely after 20 mins .

Bradford should be down to 10 men.

Yep it was a good away end yesterday. As you say for the first 20 mins we were the better team, but after that the only team that looked like they would win were Vale. Think we were lucky to not have one, maybe two, red cards and Vale could've had one too. I'm glad Wilson put that last chance wide as he was about 2 yards offside. :smackhead

Can't argue at a point away from home against the in form team in the division. Another big game next week against another in form team in Northampton, I would say a point would do but we're at home and need to start picking up all 3 points if we want promotion.

Keith Hill has already kicked off saying the players are basically unfit and warned the players they can no longer hide in the physio’s room all week & then play on a Saturday.

We were so much better yesterday till we hit 60 minutes and was knackered.

Salford have all the names on paper but didn’t look great at all.

With Keith in charge I think we’ll survive.

Exeter’s subs come on, score 3 and win them the tie. Ours come on get injured and get sent off.

A night to forget. A couple of injuries and a suspension to boot. Shambles

I can't get over how solid our squad is in the depth we have. This really is going to be our year, I think. Not just autos but i'm looking at the title
